If it happens Greg Sankey better to ready to learn Chinese buddy. He will get ran out of the conference by fans losing their rivalry games. We won't be the only team losing games.

Why do we bother to call it the Southeastern Conference when we have let in teams from places that are definitely not in the southeast?

Lol stop, this is about money which Sankey makes the SEC a lot of. The SEC and Big10 will fight to add who they want and make two superconferences soon enough.

Yeah they make a lot because of the fans. Sankey did nothing but take over a well oiled machine. They can frankenstein the conference though and ruin their cash cow.

Freeze made a comment that he’s “going to miss playing UGA every year”.

That’s not cool at all, oldest rivalry in the south, gone.. f-that.

Nope, fans will bend over and take it just like they always do.

I don't know where Freeze got his info, but no schedules beyond 2024 have been announced. Last I heard they couldn't get all 14 schools to agree on permanent scheduling. Maybe that has changed recently.

Either way, I doubt they settle on scheduling until Texas and OU also have their say.

Expansion isn’t done I fully expect us to go to 20 teams. And go back to divisions. It will be like 2 separate conferences under one umbrella.

If that happens I hope we go the basketball route and try to snag UNC, Virginia, Kansas, and WV. We would have 3 of the top 4 best basketball teams of all time in one “conference”

Granted I would take Notre Dame over WV just not sure they want this heat in football down here.

The PTB are taking a big risk destroying the traditions of college football. But perhaps they’re better informed with their marketing teams.

I’m really not interested in watching Auburn play Oklahoma, Missouri, Clemson, or Texas. A&M is hard enough to accept, but they’ve been okay as an SEC program, I guess.

Why is that group bad? You don’t like basketball?

Yep.

I hope Alabama is happy playing Tennessee once every six years. LSU playing Florida once a decade.

What a bunch of shite.

Let’s bring in The Sorbonne in Paris, Trinity College in Dublin, and Oxford in England.

Some good road trips and expands the footprint.

They don’t care. It’s about viewers and revenue. In 30 years when we are gone or much older no one will remember how great Auburn and Florida rivalry was. He’ll most of the fan base now thinks LSU is our 3rd biggest rival. It isn’t

Bama
UGA
UF
UTk
Miss state
Then maybe LSU

So when we get up to 20 teams we can have us divide up in divisions:

Say put UK, Vandy, Ol Sis, LSU, Amabala, AUBURN, thUGA, UT, FL and say MS State in one division and call it the SEC Division put all the rest in the other and who gives a shite what we call that division...

That might happen the original 10 and the added 10.

If we do I want some crossover either way. Let’s say whatever side or division wins the championship that divisions winner and the team with the worst record move over to the other division and teams 5 and 6 from that division moves over to the other for one season. That would keep from having back to back same conference championship games. And a little variety in scheduling

Well, you’re certainly entitled to your opinion, but at least be accurate in your criticisms. Nobody is going 6 years without playing. Everyone will play everyone twice (home/away) every 4 years.

That’s the entire point and also why I do not think you’ll ever see divisions again. Divisions limit schedule flexibility.

But we will see.

You forgot GT. I’d slide them in right after Tennessee, but real old timers would have them higher.

The biggest loser is the fans the die hard. Then it’s gonna be the B1G. Have no idea what they were thinking expanding out to the west coast sure more revenue in TV money but huge travel expenses. For the team and fans. Plus the west coast don’t care about sports. They will watch the first couple years because it’s new or there might be a hot team that gets some viewers but overall it will go down more and more over time and still stuck with all that expense
