I read that Harsin has no backbone in the title and read the rest of the article for shits and giggles.

I wonder how much of it was him being mad Corn was fired vs him actually thinking this.

He is right that the OL and QBs suck, but he’s wrong to say that the WR were good

What a disaster of a hot take from Tony Franklin.

He would have a better point if he said other positions were just as terrible relative to expectations coming in.

I think it actually shows a backbone to fire a coach 4 games in

Hard to imagine someone with less credibility criticizing any coach or program.

LINK /

Maybe he can argue that football is a violent game, but he didn't seem to have a problem earning a living off of it for 40 years.

Nothing of substance to back it up.

If you’re claiming the boosters wanted somebody’s head and Harsin caved, Corn doesn’t really work for that narrative.

Sounds more like he needed material for a podcast

Just like AL.com to go round up someone with an idiotic take just to slam Auburn heading into its first SEC game. This is just one example of the bonuses Bama gets every year, and is why Bama stays perennially on top. It's not all due to the Prah-cess or Tradishun.

I doubt it is just that cut and dry. I very seriously doubt that it was just that. I have to believe there was more to it. Maybe issues behind the scenes or interference from some other athletic department personnel or check writer maybe?

Could be Harsin just wants a full Boise BBQ gang and this is the first step

Its always nice to take the best route but experience tells me there is way more to the story than any of us Jboys know

Why would a coach in his first year of a 5 year contract preseason unranked and after 1/3 of the season need a "scape goat"?

Y’all give the media way too much credit.

They’re irrelevant to success/failure. Just a side show

When we had receivers on the field, maybe.

He states that firing Will Friend would have made Auburn people happy (because he's an Alabama grad)...but then somehow concludes that letting go of Williams is proof that someone basically told him to fire someone. Those two statements don't even make sense together.

I was setting in the stands for his UT game at Auburn. I am still mad about that coaching performance.
