Or maybe we'd hire the most qualified coach if we had a strong administration and he wouldn't burn out year 3 because the meddling boosters are too much to bear

I’m not sure I understand this hate on Gus. Just 1 yr ago he beat 2 #1 ranked teams at home and was 1 game from final 4.

How was it the two years and 2017 games leading up to those two HOME games? How has it gone since?? Truth is if Gus goes 1-1 vs or loses those games he is gone

When's the last time we lost a coach due to burnout?

We lose coaches because they're not good or the game passes them by.

Frickin idiot. Embarrassing yourselves. Did Gus screw your mom? Damn son...

To the op and you other freaks.

You're either young and stupid or old and senile.

Gus loses 4-5 games a year. That's why people want to get rid of him. In your magical year of 2017 he lost 4 games. That's one fewer than LSU is likely to lose this season led by Ed fricking Orgeron.

Look, AU got straight robbed against LSU. Then the turmoil began. Why after 1 game? That was easily attributed to the refs.

Then came Miss St. more bad breaks, their qb, did he score? Boobie, did he fumble? How did Steele not have a game plan to stop QB run. Stidham misses for sure TD...

Then Tenn was all on Gus and the staff. Reminded me of AU vs Arky when Tubs was there about every year...blow the 11am game. Stidham was garbage.

UGa game turned right before half when Stidham over throws wide open RB and defense let’s Uga score.

Bama, we sat on the ball at half to avoid the same thing that happened at UGa and everybody got mad. Then Bama ran away with it,

We got no calls this year, zero. Bad breaks. And a qb that played like he meant to leave but didn’t.

Gus team played hard all year. I have all the confidence in the world we will be a top SEC team next year. He will adjust. Like usual after a down year.

Y’all can probably go ahead and leave Bob Dumas and Gaines Lanier alone for sure. Probably the governor too.

2017- Blew a 20 point lead to Coach O, but it wasn’t the end of the world. Also, cost us a playoff spot by not developing a back up rb or changing a game plan vs the same opponent three weeks later. Lost to UCF.

Yeah I got plenty of bitchin about 2017 outside of us getting hot for two games in JHS

I'm sure this plays a role but I'm also sure this is far too simplistic and isn't a good way to summarize the history of Auburn coaches.

Guys don't get to HC level in the SEC if they're the type that tend to get tired and quit trying. They're extremely competitive and narcissistic like most people at the upper echelon of their crafts.

What about the 2 seasons prior to that? What about everything since? Are you really trying to say those two wins should weigh more heavily than all the other shite?

There’s a segment of the fan base that only cares if we beat Bama and Georgia lol.

Hell, at this point, beating both in same year should mean a national championship caliber team.

Everyone on the board is well aware of the problems with the current coaching staff. They put it into the hands of the President (as they should). The Prez spoke with Gus about expense neutral staffing and he agreed. We spend a ridiculous amount of money on coaches and buyouts without the results.

What specifically do you want the board to do? They can take one course of action which is to fire the president, but that comes with risks.
