I've heard that Sexton has the offer in his hands. But either way, there has/had been an agreement reached. The formal "offer" is always a formality; it's possible that the physical copy hasn't been presented yet and it arrives tomorrow and then everyone can pretend like he had nothing to agree to until then.

I have heard some suggestion of this as well.

I really wonder if the Freeze "push" from last night came from Auburn to try to give credibility to whatever vague statements Kiffin made to the team. It seemed to travel to the Ole Miss reporters really quickly, with McCready jumping to state that he expects us to name Freeze this weekend.

IE: Kiffin makes a vague non-committal statement to the team, then soon after word starts leaking out that Auburn may be ready to move onto Freeze. If you look at those two pieces together, it comes off as if Auburn knows that something may have changed with Kiffin's decision.

That's been the consensus the whole time, I thought. That the PTB were divided on Freeze. (With PAM standing firm on this, that gives some credibility to that claim. Everyone says he's the mouthpiece for some of the boosters)

I know everyone says this will be Cohen's hire, but you have to have the backing of the money people to keep the cash flowing. And if there's a divide there regarding Freeze, it would be in the best interest of Auburn to just move on from him. Or else we're in the same boat as we were with Harsin.

Honestly, I don’t think anyone will know anything until probably tomorrow. To me, it’s telling that he hasn’t signed the extension with Ole Miss. He still has time to, but he’s had it for a while and still hasn’t.
