First, I do not want Clark here. It is not that I think he cannot do it, but his resume is not strong enough.
That being said, I think he is a solid coach. I know the qb stank it up against Tenn, but I thought he was out from injury.
The new qb was turrible, but at UAB's level, I think you are never really going have many good option "b"s.

I have no interest in shitting on Clark. The target should be the Clark-obsessed posters who think considering anyone but Clark is a waste of time.
But it is interesting that Clark is probably a tier 2 or 3 coach for Arkansas, and not on FSU's radar at all. That's one program at arguably our level and another considerably beneath us that don't seem terribly interested in a guy a sizable swath of our fan base wants to hire immediately.
Arkansas, in contrast, is allegedly targeting one of the hotter non-P5 coaches in the country, and, reportedly, a highly-paid, conference winning coach of a much bigger and better school in Malzahn. Arkansas is probably a bit delusional too, but it seems like that reality would make the Bill Clark-to-AU loyalists feel a bit silly.

Has anyone actually said this? Honestly I don't know as I haven't read every post in this thread, but I don't know anyone that thinks like this.

I think Clark would be probably a tier 3 option for us at best at the moment. I also just think he is a very good coach, but that is a personal opinion on the guy. I've dealt with him a lot, and I think one day he will make a program very happy.
FSU is a little of a different situation though. They really need to hit a good hire here. The only reason Sanders is being mentioned is the PR buzz it would generate. They need a big time hire. Clark would not be a big PR hire right off the bat. I can understand them not looking his way.

Why? Considering their track record with coaches, maybe it says more about Clark that they aren't looking at him

It was just a poking some fun in a Bill Clark needs to be Auburn's next coach. Your comment about the UAB offense played like shite looked familiar in all the I hate Gus threads lately. It wasn't necessarily aimed directly at you.
