He sure as hell won't be a RB in the NFL.

Eric Metcalf survived many years as a miniscule RB in the NFL. Pretty sure Metcalf was shorter and weighed less than O-Mac.
Did O-Mac ever play any CB in high school?

Yea he wont be a RB in NFL he'll need to be at least 190. Most RBs in the league are 200+. I think they will try to get him to gain about 10 pounds or so and be a return man.

He was right around 190 I believe. McCalebb is 173 soaking wet. He's also got a long, lanky body type. He's not compact at all, like many of the smaller RB's. If he never took on any defenders in college, he sure as hell won't take them on in the NFL.
I want him to succeed badly, but I'm just being realistic about it. I hope he proves me wrong.

He doesn't have the hips to play cornerback.

Bengals not need a speed back to run out of bounds?

Eric Metcalf only had wet dreams that he was 190.
Metcalf was smaller than James Brooks and Brooks was 180 soaking weight.

This is what I was thinking.. He doesn't have a shifty bone in his body. Good luck to him though I hope he finds a spot somewhere and hangs in there for many seasons.

What is all this Metcalf talk?
C'mon guys we already have a better example from one of our own from the best backfield ever.

Undersized at 5'6" and 171 lbs., James played running back at Auburn University where he shared the backfield with Bo Jackson. James would be apart the 1983 SEC Champion and Sugar Bowl champion team. He spent his entire 5 year NFL career with the Chargers from 1984-1988. His best year as a pro came during the 1985 season when he set the then-NFL season records for receiving yards by a running back and all-purpose yardage. He also led the AFC in receptions that year.
In 1985, James set the NFL record for all purpose yards in a season with 2,535 yards. He also set the record for receiving yards by a running back with 1,027 yards [1] while also leading the AFC in receptions with 86. On November 10, 1985, he had his best day as a pro versus the Los Angeles Raiders. He gained 345 all-purpose yards including a career best 168 yards receiving and scored the winning touchdown in a 40–34 overtime victory.[1] The total yardage was second at the time only to the 373 yards by Billy Cannon in 1961. He might have broken the record in earlier game that season against the Cincinnati Bengals except for a Chargers penalty that cost him 89 yards of a 100-yard kickoff return. James finished that game with 316 yards.[2]

Couple of quotes about James at AU:
quote:
In a tale known to Auburn people far and wide, James' 5-6, 150-pound frame was not large enough to permit two numbers on his jersey, and so he was given number 6.
quote:
James was the first player Dye pointed out at his very first meeting with the team. "I joke about it with him now," James says, but he was hardly in a laughing mood at the time. James recalls, "All the juniors and seniors took all the seats in the meeting room, and I was just a freshman, so I sat on the floor. Coach Dye came in, and he kicked my foot as he was walking by. He stopped and told me to stand up. He asked me what my name was, and how tall and heavy I was. When I told him, Coach Dye said, "Five foot, six and 150 pounds. That's what's wrong with this team. We can't win with people like you.'"

Onterio McCalebb doesn't have the hips, instincts (IMO), or "want to" to play cornerback. I can't picture him ever coming up to lay a lick on a running back, fullback, wide receiver, or tight end. He avoided contact at all costs while at Auburn. Just let the guy return kicks, play a little running back, and, every now and then, send him out wide. He displayed pretty good hands during college.

He probably won't be there long anyway.

A certain squirrel thinks OMAC is a lockdown corner.

His best chance is to take the Trindon Holliday route and be a KR specialist.

In my best Gump voice:
'Perhaps they put OMac at corner because he is so familiar with running near the sidelines?'
