It's certainly not impossible but again, it's going to take a lot of hits on guys with question marks, and they are going to have to come together quickly.
I trust Bruce as much as any auburn coach in any sport ever but a lot of things, many out of his control, are going to have to go our way to be a contender next year.

BP better call God and get some talent on the court next year. The pool of Elite players transferring is drying up

Yeah it's pretty disheartening to go through the transfer ranking list and see how much of the top talent is already committed elsewhere.

True. If our boosters stopped hurling all their money in the football hole, we’d be more competitive, I’d think.

Appears that Tahaad announced he’d back back next year.
Edit.
Well maybe
“I hope to come back next year and run it back again.”

I’m sure there will be some NIL negotiations.

I’d love to get someone like Moustapha Thiam at the 5. 7’2” Freshman that averaged 10 and 6 per game with 2.6 blocks per game and shooting 29% from 3.

I would be completely fine if, while we have Bruce, we flipped the football and basketball budgets to get him and auburn their title even if it meant 5 or 6 wins a year in football.

I think our football program is hopelessly mismanaged anyway, while basketball is actually a thriving program. Our NIL money is far better spent in that direction.

100%. Sounds like he clearly wants to return to Auburn as long as we are able to offer a solid NIL package.
Now with that said, NIL deals are “allegedly” becoming more and more ridiculous. Apparently the rumored $4million for Yaxel could be legit. Which for those curious, a $8-9million NIL budget for an entire team is going to be one of the better ones in the country.

Nope, i meant what i said our football program has been a complete embarrassment on every level for a long, long time. It ain't my money being thrown down the drain but from an outside perspective I'd much rather it go to someone who has earned it and would be a better steward of it.

Give him some of the money the football program is wasting

100% agree with this. Not even a moment of hesitation.

He needs to come back.
I think he should and hope he does.
I'm sure he will go through NBA draft process and get some feedback. If he got a first round grade even late then I'm sure he goes NBA. It's not like he will improve it much from that.
Posted on 4/6/25 at 7:25 pm to SmithsAuFan
Yeah at 6'1 he's probably not going higher than late first. If Auburn isn't willing to get him comparable cash then he should leave and start to develop at a pro level. If he gets a second round grade then he should stay.
