8 conference games to go fellas.

4 home and 4 away. Starting with an team tomorrow night that has won 8 straight so they have been hot but hasn't played the toughest of opponents. Arkansas starts a murders row of teams to round out the conference schedule starting with us.

UK has a schedule similar to ours a couple games they could lose maybe its a hair more difficult then ours but not much if any.

Arkansas and UT are tied for 3rd place right now but Arkansas as mentioned above has a very difficult schedule. UT has possibly the easiest remaining of all teams with a chance to really win the conference but has to play both AU and UK so 2 games that will be very difficult for them. But those 2 games are both at home for UT.

It's going to be an interesting race to close out the conference season. I agree with the earlier poster that wants the regular season championship and the hardware that goes along with it. Anything can happen in a tournament setting and you get bumped out. A regular season championship means you were the best over the long haul. Not that we should rest if/when we clinch it.

Here's to closing it out 8-0. I am not one of the fans that believes the team needs a loss for a wake up call. You can't play much harder then the team has been playing. Yes there are still things we can get better at but I think the coaches see that and are already addressing it.

How and why would he Harsin stuff affect the basketball team? They don't give a shite. I'm sure Harsin and Bruce have a relationship but they don't seem like buddies or anything.

Bruce and Gus were true friends it seemed and I think Bruce has handled his firing fine.

Everyone is supporting the team. Could you not hear the AU fans in Athens this weekend?

Also there are a billion Harsin threads don't corrupt this thread with that bullshite.

Thanks bro didn't want to come off as a jerk or no one can say anything in here. Just don't see where it applies. You didn't have to delete. I worry about distractions for the team just don't think that's one of them

yes I would feel much better if UK dropped another.

Arkansas, UF, and UT all still really tough games for us. Miss State isn't a slouch either but obviously anyone in the conference can beat us when we don't play well. Need to look no further then this weekend against UGA.

I definitely think UK gets got @UT. UK ran them out of the gym at Rupp with a historic shooting performance but UT will get them at home.

I think if we win tomorrow, we all but guarantee ourselves a share of the title.

I’d take 2-2 in these last four road games right now… there’s a real chance we get humbled tomorrow night.

Agreed but matchup-wise, we are a tough cover for Arky.

I have no L's scratched in. We are a tough matchup for anyone we play. The arena will be tough to win in but our bigs JayWill, Jabari, and Kessler will be very difficult for their Jaylin Williams. Cardwell is just one other that adds on top of it. I'm hoping Zep is back to give a few minutes at least. It's the same pretty much for our team every game going forward. Don't the turn the ball over, rebound, don't take dumb shots, and play defense every possession and we are very difficult to handle.

With the way we played on the road in the last 2, that would be a win. All 4 are as losable as they are winnable. 2-2 and stay undefeated at home likely = #1 seed.

@arky and @UT look like losses to me
@UF and @MSU look like toss ups that I think we win

Agreed. I think for this team to take next step though, we have GOT to start stepping on the throat when we are up double digits in 2H.

Great teams go on a 10-0 run to push that 12 point lead to 22 and basically crush the other teams hopes. You let them keep it around 10-15 and eventually the opponent is gonna go on a 8-10 point run and make everything tighten up.

Arkansas seems to be really pumped for this game. It appears they will have all hands on deck. Even allowing the students to leave class early to attend the game.

I'm fully prepared to lose in Bud Walton tomorrow. There's no way Arkansas loses at home.

Arky pumped. But, I think after the way we played Saturday, we come out really focused and take care of business on the road.
