Looks like BPI updated and still has us around 10. I find that pretty weird, but I don’t really know how it works compared to other ranking systems.

Y'all got to stop worrying about all this nerd stuff. You don't know how it works because it doesn't make any sense.

shite, if we didn't post about things that we don't really know how it works, this board would be dead as Pat Dye's pants.

I think it subjectively weighs players. For obvious reasons ESPN would not want that to become public knowledge.

It's based on points scored if I'm reading this right. Which doesn't take into account how the clock is used, or time spent on defense. To me BPI has been a bit of a poor indicator of how a team is actually then if your Strength of Record (SOR) is low. Our SOR ranks us #1

I’d be the only one posting around here

Wesley Yates will visit next weekend. 4* SG, #33 overall
Texas kid. Baylor on him. Going to be tough.
We just haven’t been able to pull those western states kids to Auburn.
And not sure where he is on Auburn’s SG priority list.

The melt from UK has been incredible. We've won 4/6 but this one is hitting them way harder than I expected

So we got the #1 ranked AP team goal taken care of. Awesome. Other goals this season remain winning the regular season SEC (15 wins likely gets it done imo), but what do y’all think we need to do to lock up a 1 seed? I think 3 or less losses in regular season, then a solid showing in SEC tourney gets it done but who knows.

Conference tourney hasn't held that much weight, it's seemed. I don't think we moved up at all when we won it. As long as we win the first game we are probably good with a solid regular season finish.

Yeah that seems to be true for the most part but perhaps a bad showing could affect you

I would rather go out of the SEC tournament early assuming we've locked up a 1 seed by then. Final Four run almost never happened because we had to go out west and play a 30 win team with a really short turnaround.

Reaching 30 wins should be on there…

Just seeing the articles their beat writers put out was incredible.
They are not taking it well at all. It never occurred to them that even at full strength Auburn will play to a higher level to win that game?
Even their players are struggling with it based on their post game comments about them being a better team. Yet Oscar couldn't defend the Walter from banging down 7 dunks.

Good post Rock.
It's nieve to think that just bc a player goes out, that the other team can't win, especially when they have proven to overcome any obstacle.
Look, Ky is very good, but they showed their weaknesses too.
We are built to overcome runs against us.
I checked the play by play and Washington had 4 points but he went down w/ 8 min lefts in half, so in 22 mins he got 4. Who knows how he would have helped in the 2nd half?
Next time don't get hurt. lol...

The fouls were basically even in the 2nd half before UK started fouling late… and 3 of them were in 3 pt shots.
It is what it is with cal… he’s never been one to heap praise on his opponent… this has been no different.

OK. I hate to see them when they play in a big game.
He got one thing right
He uses us selling SRO for $250 as evidence then I look up our next few games. $190 for OU, $300 for A&M

You’re right Cal. It’s not a big game since your are 1-5 in our place. UGa has more wins than he does. We’ve got bigger fish to fry
