I think your format is fine, it just adds an extra element of gamesmanship.

It is also fine if you just announce the tied as winners.

I dont think any tiebreaker really makes sense.

Question is the over stuff just a tiebreaker thing or immediately triggered? If you were just using the over to break a tie then I guess that actually makes sense.

If 4 people are guessing a number (1-10)
One picks 2
One picks 6
One picks 9
One Picks 10

And the correct answer is 5.

Did 6 or 2 win?

I'd probably go 2. Yes, the over was just for a tie breaker, but as I already mentioned it seems near impossible to actually break a tie because multiple posters ( as was the case in the Vandy game) pick the exact same score.

The over tie breaker would've been to break the tie if it's due to a MOE tie ( multiple posters are off by the same amount just like the 2 pts). Even then there was a tie cause they all chose the same score and they are all winners, but if the tie is due to moe then that's where the without going over comes in.

Let me use your example again Jang

6 people choose a number between 1-10

#1 chooses 4

#2 chooses 3

# 3 chooses 6

#4 chooses 8

#5 chooses 7

#6 chooses 9

The correct answer is 5. So #3 and #1 are within the same MOE of being only one off #1 would win cause they came closest without going over.

But there are times where say 3-4 people chose 4 and I'd just say that all 3-4 won cause they chose the same number( just like I did for the Vandy game) but if the tie is due only to MOE and they chose different numbers then the one that came closest without going over (#1 cause they chose 4 and #3 chose 6) wins.

As I said in the other post I'd much prefer there be no winners or losers and people just make their predictions, cause I don't ever remember winners being chosen on other prediction threads. I'll finish what Honor started but I don't want to do the winner thing next season for this very reason.

This is a tough one to predict. My head says go with Arky. My heart says "F I, you never pick AU to lose."

I think this is a pretty big game. Not because of Arkansas, just where it falls in the schedule. Getting to 7 wins before the Iron Bowl, with a team that was really a mess most of the year and played pretty bad football for much of that time, would qualify as a solid success. It's a mini-season within the season in my view. We're a slight dog on the road, so it might be the last chance to defy expectations a bit without requiring the heroics of winning the IB.

It won't be a signature win, but I think this is a first small feather in Hugh's cap. AU 24 Arkansas 20.

Arky also had a bye week going into UF. Surely we’ll get some of those breaks we didn’t get at Vandy.

AU 30 Arky 21 on a late McPherson FG to put it away late.

I like the optimism- but I think Arkansas being at home is the difference.

I like our defense- I just don’t have the confidence in our offense. Penalties, dropped passes, et cetera.

They went into the swamp and took down the Gators which is not an easy task. They are playing for pride in front of a home crowd, so I don’t believe we have a chance in this one. We will struggle to put points and stop their running game. Hoping I will be proven wrong.
