Overall the guys look soft IMHO. Nobody with strong hands, reminded me of early wilder yrs. Feel we will be grabbing new hobbies coming up.

Our guys played hard. We just need to knock down more shots.

And hit FT’s. It’s sickening to see other teams drain them. What gives? What’s the fix?

It’s basically Pettiford and new players.

CSP gave everyone a bunch of minutes. I doubt Muschalek(sp?) plays much during the season.

Good tape to show them.

We have guys who can get to the rim. We are kind of on the skinny side, but very athletic.

OKSt had some heft upfront and their guards were slashers. They shot it just a little better than we did.

There were some sets that we will never see in regular season. Good overall game for the team. Got to learn to play together, have better shot selection and share the ball

Freeman and Hall looked good.

Jovic too.

Just not a shooters night.
Magwood and even Pettiford did not have the hot hand from 3.

Defense against drives needs work. Learning from a scrimmage is good.

Our biggest issue this year will be defense most importantly defending the rim.

We will score for sure.

We don't have a 5 on the roster outside of the JUCO kid who most likely isn't ready.

Freeman, Overton and Hall are going to be fun to watch.

OSU's guards wore us out. That one kid (Roy) is at his 6th school.

adding these stats...

Anthony Roy - 28p, 12r, 2a
Isaiah Coleman - 28p, 8r, 1a
Jaylen Curry - 23p, 4r, 4a

I figured Jovic would be more of the classic European shooter from the jump. Maybe that will develop but I did not see it last night. His free throw form is not the best looking thing I’ve ever seen.

We don’t really have a back-to-the-basket post player and that’s something I got used to with Broome, but it’s not something that Bruce always had.

#6 is going to be a heck of a player for us. He oozes athleticism.

Anybody at the game happen to watch Bruce in the last few minutes of the game? He was courtside, standing up, encouraging everyone to get up and get loud, just like he always did when coaching. And one of those last possessions on defense, he just couldn’t help it, my man was still coaching the players.

I was there. Cool game, wish they had won. My son had a game last night so I drove down to Bham for it and we went after his game. So I only caught 2nd half. I think this is a game they win when it matters.

Stayed about an hour after so my son could try to meet Tahaad. Hung with Ike from The War Rapport, he's a good friend of mine. Talked with Hoke. Spoke with Coach Pearl both old and new.

Funny story: Son meets Keyshawn Hall, great kid.
KH: "Whats up lil bro!! Whats your name?"
Son: "I'm Jace."
KH: "Nice to meet you, Jace. You play ball too?"
Son: "Yeah, we had a game tonight too."
KH: "Word? Did yall win?"
Son: "Yeah we did..."
KH: "Good, 'cuz we aint win shite.."

Cool story! Did y'all happen to see Keshawn Murphy? Wondering how he was getting around after that fall.

I actually didn't see Keshawn. I was looking for him, he graduated HS with my daughter. He walked to the back with no help, but he did have a brace on his knee.

Too cool. I'm sure Jace will remember that forever.
