I only remember us throwing it to him once.

This board is very bipolar lol. Everyone expected NM to be the second coming of Cam this time last week. Look if Coates doesn't slip on a double move and if Louis didn't slow down on his route (and he got his arse chewed on the sidelines for that) then NM would have been 12 of 19, pushing 200 yards and with 1, maybe 2 TDs. That doesn't even count the 3 to 4 drops we had.
I predicted meh stats for NM last week, but I fricking liked what I saw out of him in game. He was cautious with the ball, didn't force anything, his throws made sure either we caught it or no one did, he kept plays alive with his feet, he didn't hold the ball too long or stare down routes. All in his first game for us. The ceiling only rises from here. We'll win by 2 TDs while running a very balanced offense.

I was critical of Marshall Sunday morning but after watching the game on TV I feel much better about his performance. He didn't play nearly as bad as it looked from my seat in JHS. I still think he needs to be more decisive when he runs the ball but other than the slow start he played about as well as can be asked of a Qb with only 1 months worth of practice in the system.

Posibarner comes out throwing F-bombs, I like it.

I don't know, the bar is set pretty low for posibarner status here.
AUFamily, on the other hand....

Pretty much what I have said
I like what I saw for the most part. Feel better about him after seeing him play

Marshall just needed some time to settle down. He was 7 of 10 in the second half. A couple bad throws in the first and 3 drops, 2 on critical third downs, and he has a much different stat line and we may very well have scored more points. When you're coming out probably a bit nervous and your WR's are dropping balls, that doesn't help that nervousness/confidence at all.

If our WRs start catching balls, it will really help Nick Marshall mentally. Once he has trust in his WRs to make a play, I think we will see more of what he did in the second half.
I was worried about his read action ability. I saw him miss at least one read where the DE crashed down hard and he handed it off. I imagine that comes with time though.
Anyone else happy about Gus actually being involved. So often I see them scan the headcoach and he does nothing for a lot of teams. Seems almost like a spectator. I love seeing Gus fired up, making play calls, knowing exactly where someone should be and in their face for not being there. Makes me more comfortable about our direction knowing that we aren't doing things right and we still did alright + coaches are fixing them at all times

This is what I fully expected from him, and happy that he is doing it.

I never got on the Uzomah train in the offseason. I think he is a better blocker than receiving TE. I think all the weight gain over the years hurt his athleticism.

Probably because you haven't talked to people on the team and practice who say they are shocked by the amazing catches he makes in practice.

Hopefully we will have a better crowd this week. It was so freakin hot last week and you could see it in the crowd.
I expect the offense to get rolling this week. Marshall throws the ball so hard he has to be accurate and wr's have to use their hands. Hopefully DC cranks up the warm up throws to these guys. I still can't believe how strong Marshall's arm is.

After going thru the Chizik era, I take what happens at practice with a grain of salt.

So far I have had a great week of practice on this board.

The game last week was awful. I don't know why it felt so hot but everyone was drenched in sweat. I don't know about the rest of the stadium but the student section was starting to tire out which normally doesn't happen.
