I know his family well.. Good, hard working kid from a great family. I don't follow recruiting much at all, so was kinda surprised he was only a 3* when I looked. He had a lot of local buzz and I knew he was offered by most the big schools and had picked Michigan. I know he was tore up about what happened there last week. Spoke to him and his Dad a few days prior and he was excited to move up there any day now. I'm glad we can give him a place to land. I think he'll be a surprise for us...

He is one where the offer list definitely doesn't match the ranking. Glad we were able to snag him.

Absolutely. Will already have some good chemistry with Ellis too, which is always a positive when it comes to young OL. Watching him, he definitely has some Dismukes style nastiness on the field which we sorely could use.

is Ryan willing to put in the work

I can admit I wanted RW to come to Auburn more than most any reciever in any recent class.

Granted I hate Bama, but he hasn't done one thing this year that helped his stock that Im aware of. Im not the coach, but give me a WR who has put work in to get coaches attention

Florida, 'Gumps, USCe, and Clemson all wanted him. I know we need, and want, dogs, however, I've seen enough 5* flop to know those rankings aren't perfect.

I'm starting to believe we finally have a coach who grinds tape. If Golesh&Co think he's a baller, I'm gonna ride. I'll admit I'm semi-boogin'

Besides, I've enjoyed stealing things from Michigan since the '84 Sugar Bowl. frick those guys...

Hopefully we can get a few of these guys in every class. Auburn used to excel at finding the diamonds in the rough. Now, it seems Auburn is better at getting burned signing overrated guys.

We did just sign a WR that broke all his records in HS, so that's a plus

Freeze grinded tape and identified talent too.... he just couldn't develop or get the best out of it. Look.... this OL gets high marks because of the offer list, but we have yet to see if this Alex can recruit AND develop elite talent. YOU CANNOT build a roster with a bunch of 3* guys and you can't sign a bunch of 5*(Freeze) but let them get away with murder and rarely put them in positions to win.

And if there is one position in the rankings that tends to be off the most, it's the ones for offensive lineman. The accuracy rate on those prospects tends to be way off compared to most other positions due to success being so tied to work ethic with those positions.

They have to get the strongest and put on weight through workouts and a monitored diet. shite gets real in college when you aren't the biggest and strongest one on the field anymore, and you can't outmuscle everyone with bad technique anymore

He’s also got a nasty streak, something you want in an O Lineman.

You really don't have much in the way of an attention span beyond what you read on Tik Tok or Facebook do you? Just a little bit of research beyond seeing a star rating (which for OL is sketchy at best).
