The SEC is going to treat 2024-25 like a 2-year cycle, not just a 1-off (as we were originally told). We will play through the home-away, then re-set in 2026.
I suspect the reason is the SEC is giving a little time to see how the FSU/ACC thing plays out. If all is status-quo 18 months from now, the SEC will finally assign those 3 permanent opponents to each school and set the rotation in perpetuity. But if we have expanded to 18 or 20 or 24 schools by 2026, a new plan will have to be hatched.
I hope we stay at 16.

Yep. It is taking a very long time for my plan of seeing a lot more of Tennessee and Florida to come to fruition.
Also just occurred to me that we are supposed to play AT Baylor in 2025. I guess Auburn is the furthest East we will play all season.

I completely understand. In 2025 my daughter will be a senior at Auburn - she and I are planning for a really fun road trip together to an away game. Honestly I was really hoping for a game at Florida, at Tennessee, at Ole miss, at Mississippi state, at South Carolina etc.....oh well

That's a managable schedule!
Freeze is on the clock.

Dang, I just found that put from your post. Was Cal not a Home and Home series?
I swear I remember it being announced like that and don't remember any Baylor game scheduled. I guess I missed something in the time they announced schedules 5 years ago.

Cal is a home and home. They visit us this year.
The Baylor game is in 2025 and they make a return trip in 2026.

Yep, I was somehow looking at '25 schedule.
Carry on.

It is our same schedule as this year, just the locations changed (Home/Away).

Which is stupid. Norman may be a good road trip, but I would much rather get to face Texas in '25 than to have to see OU a second time.

No its because ESPN is not paying for a 9th game. Gonna give them time to see if they want to pay for a 9th if the ACC collapses since that frees up money

5-3, 6-2 type of SEC record if we can get decent QB play.
4-4 at absolute worst.

That’s almost 18 months away. Not sure I’d put any predictions in. Who knows what happens in year away. Heck we don’t know who would even be on the roster.
