NFL teams spend a crap load on skill players for a reason. It’s equally ignorant to say skill players don’t matter than it is to act like they’re the most important thing. Even with a good OL you still need guys that can get open.
For reference on how top heavy NIL is making things, Gus’ best recruiting finish was 2014 when he finished 6th. The score this class currently has (which is ranked 7th) would have finished 4th in the country in 2014.

Fegans in a safety, not a CB. That said I think he’s the best safety in the country. His instincts are insane.

That is correct and as best I can tell we didn’t sign 4 Athletes that were not good enough to be QBs or play WR yet had 4 star ratings
