On3's Ole Miss writer is suggesting that Sanders has academic concerns, particularly at Auburn. He also allegedly has questions surrounding the health of his shoulder.

Nagging injuries. He has had a shoulder injury since the 4th game this season. Yeah he only missed two games and went into the portal but there is still something about it. Notice no one picked him up yet?
Also I believe he wants big NIL money. Not sure he is worth it given the unknowns about his injuries.

Its been said he wanted a really big NIL deal and don’t think the coaches thought he was worth what he was demanding.

Does 247 lag in updating rankings? We have 15-16 4* this class and it only shows us with 8. That would surely bump us up to top 13 or so. I don’t care that much I guess but I’m just curious

We have 8 composite 4* and the rest are composite 3* in the 23 class. Some players might be 4* on other platforms but the composite rankings are taken into account in team rankings.

Oh ok. I had it filtered to “recruits” instead of “overall” which includes transfers. Weird that’s the default. My bad

I do think we’ll still be shopping the QB market hard post spring. This staff hasn’t shown complacency with any position on the field so far and I can’t imagine QB will be any different
I dont keep up with this any where close to what you guys do but I would have to think a lot of the reasons we have not picked anyone up yet is just availability
I dont think there are a lot of good QB transfer choices out there right now

With the merry go round of the portal, we will have to expect any good top QB we sign next class to be starting year after next or be gone.

LSU's 3rd string QB is a true freshman Top 100 recruit; sitting behind a good starter (Daniels) and a second top recruit that may or may not be ready to start himself (Nussmeier).
I don't exactly understand the statement, given that in a healthy QB room Walker White is probably sitting in the exact same position that Howard is currently in (ie: ~3rd string).

Regardless of the reason - given how hard Freeze has been hitting the portal I expect him to take a QB at some point. If the right guy isn't there now, there will be another round in the spring.

Miami redshirt freshman QB Jake Garcia just entered the portal. Former top QB recruit from the 2021 class. Played HS ball in Georgia his senior year (originally from Cali I believe).
He played some this season: 60% completion, 800 yards, 5 TD's to 4 INT's.

Several good QB prospects at the top of the portal rankings have Ole Miss as a projected destination (On3). Some believe Walker Howard is trending to Kiffin. I think if he pulls the trigger, it might create a domino effect on some of the other prospects as well.
