I think Freeze main concern now is bringing in players that can come in and play. So the JUCO/ Portal guys are a priority and it seems to me the recruiting services don’t always judge those guys as well as the HS kids. Hell they even miss on those some times. If we finish top 15 from where we started with the ti e Freeze had it would be impressive, The ceiling for the previous staff was probably 20-30th place. I am thinking that this year will be the floor for Freeze at 12-18th.

Relationships still matter in the world of NIL.

Money alone may pull a player or two but everything else matters as well.

Scheme they run, history of not only getting players in the NFL but in what rounds, facilities, playing time, dorms, location, etc.

Stepping into the recruiting situation that Harsin left is a big hill to climb. Can you imagine how many HS coaches were bad mouthing Auburn and Harsin. Lots of relationships to build up and trust.

Don’t be a simpleton and think everything is equal when comparing Freeze to others. Kids want to win too. Freeze turns it around and wins, the NIL and facilities will be more impactful.

There is a big difference in a 3* DL and a 3* OL. Start signing a bunch of 3* DL and we are in trouble, but 3* OL can be developed, O-line play is a lot of technique and fundamentals, and can be developed over time if you recruit the right body types. I would bet there are way more 3* OL’men in the NFL compared to DL.

We just offered yesterday, 3* DL Stephan Johnson that is committed to Arkansas. Freeze visited his high school yesterday and gave out an offer.
He wanted to go to Auburn but the previous staff (HC) didn't want him.

Amari Kight is in Auburn for a visit. He father came on the trip with him.

Side note.. for 2 1/2 years every single time I've seen his name I've seen "Knight" and I can't stop it

McCreary was a 3* but yeah we should have just told him to kick rocks.

Hunter was a 3* let’s kick him off the team he obviously sucks.

Nick Fairley was a 3* I cannot believe Auburn would stoop to sign such a lowly player.

I can't believe in 2022 these people still exist.

Stephen Johnson. He’s a super low 3*. I posted about him a few pages back

Huge deal. Freeze’s home visit probably made this visit possible. And it’s nice he’s coming midweek instead of the weekend because he’ll get a bit more attention. I think 10+ guys will be back on campus again this weekend

One thing I’m looking for is news coming out of the Russaw/Smith home visit. If Freeze can somehow get them back on campus one more time I’d be more hopeful there. I don’t think it’s necessary. They’ve been plenty but it would be a good sign

I know its been talked about before.. but does anyone know the breakdown of how Robby is in his 3rd year, but is still a redshirt freshman? Someone else asked me and I have no idea how it ended up like that. Did he already use his covid year?

2020 was his first year. Does not count (Covid). 2021 was his 2nd year. Redshirt. 2022 was 3rd year. Played as a redshirt freshman, using his first year of eligibility. Now has 3 years remaining.

He only played baseball in 2020, so that doesn’t count against football eligibility.

We need our team to use the new music studio to make a Freeze Rap.

Come play for Coach Freeze,
He takes 3 star QBs,
Has then throwing like Brees,
With skinny ankles and strong knees.

Take a OT 5 star,
Make him go so far,
Gonna Buy him a car,
Get NIL at SkyBar.

I’m sure these guys can come up with something.
We had a coach rapping for awhile, is there video of some of the work coming out of our studio?

not positive how that works. Common sense tells me it isn't.

A kid could play football for four years.........then baseball for four years..........then basketball for four years. That's 12 years of college eligibility.

not sure how that loophole works.

Ashford was also ranked as the 290th-best player in his recruiting class. He chose Oregon over offers from Auburn, Colorado, Florida and Ole Miss. He will have four seasons of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
