Also have to say Ganus has done some huge things staff wise as well. He has several unpaid assistants that he brought in. Chad Slade works with the OL. He got an offensive assistant from Thompson to come be his OC. He has 2 former UAB players working with the defense.
Still haven’t been overly impressed with A’mon this year. He’s solid but doesn’t jump out like a 4 star should on the field. Maybe he makes the turn going into his sr season next year. He’s locked into AU and probably stays with AU regardless of who the coach is

Pappoe wanted to hit someone on the first drive then flex instead of recovering the fumble. He then proceeded to disappear as usual for the rest of the game.

Out of curiosity, how does this work? They just have non-teaching jobs and treat coaching as volunteer work essentially?

I strongly disagree. Pappoe got a front row view of that running back's highlight real. Best seats in the house.

There isn't a single player who should be commended for their play yesterday. Tank gets a pass though, he barely played. Most coaches fighting for their coaching lives bench their best weapon, for no reason

Correct just volunteers that work with the team. They are not teachers. There are still some teachers that coach but the coaching staff is huge for a smaller school.

My wife is pretty good friends with his wife. He's truly enjoyed /excited to be at Moody right now from what I hear secondhand.
From what I'm told, he's been working his tail off to make this work too.

With that being said I expect him to be gone within 3 years to a bigger program.
He's probably limited to jobs within driving distance of Chelsea. That's my guess but I think the reasons are strong to support it
Moody is a trek though.

He's very old for his class, I've wondered how he develops relative to peers who will catch up in physical maturity.

Heard the same thing. He's a really good kid, hopefully things work out.

Moody has sold their soul to the Blue Devil to make this work as well. Voted to raise property taxes to build a new high school with that. First thing addressed was sprint turf for the football field. Nothing has even started on the new High school. The field is complete.
Other things Jake has done as AD he has established a nutrition center. However the center is by donating goods by the community it provides snacks, pb&j sandwiches, and small cup protein shakes for athletes. It’s a pretty impressive transformation of support from the community. Great first steps for year 1.
Next steps would be to align your vision with the youth football program in the community and coach up the youth coaches with a 3 day clinic. That’s what I do each year. That way basic terminology is the same drills the same. Granted most baseball players come out of the travel scene but you have a coupe each year that come out of the park

Lost in all the stuff from the weekend we did pickup Harkless which just shows how far we have fallen. With the best DL class ever in state we have to sign a middling 3 star DL from Ky.

If we hurry it's probably not too late for Coach Prime to get in and snag a couple of those DL.

Parker will not be in this class period. James Smith and Russaw I think we put the nail in the coffin on our own this past weekend. Peters isn’t waiver ing from Clemson. Hunter isn’t from Bama. Faulk is the only one I see that can be flipped. Current environment are you sticking with FSU or flipping to AU? Even with Prime or any other hot shot coach?

I had some stuff to get off my chest and the mere mention of the name Pappoe set me off.
