They can throw the short passes and have success but refuse to do it. It seems like they only do it when it becomes a rush type situation! The offensive play calling is killing this team

We better be Top 10 in recruiting every year or we’re screwed. Why? We have a coach that that is worse than Gus as far as game day on the field coaching is concerned.

Didn’t say we were more talented than them at any position. I said the gap ain’t as big as Hugh wants you to believe. We have 3 and 4* guys everywhere. That’s enough to compete every weekend (See UVA beating UNC tonight). 3 star guys are at least enough to have a decent offense. Look at all the teams shite teams that have us fits over the years. I don’t know what the frick he’s done with our passing game

I really wish we would do something in the backside of plays. There is so much space that is open for play action that we never do. It really is baffling. I get we have issues, but the playcalking just seems so apathetic.

Gotcha, that’s fair. We saw this team punch way above their weight against uga. But that’s really been it.

I did. And they are a little less short bus than we are.
We are short bus and have to ride in the back with shoulder harnesses in the cage.

Exactly. We are going to pull WR from TExas or Bama with a true freshman? Man that is a tough sell.
The QB portal game is weak. If a true good QB comes available, you would think he would head to Bama. Not to Auburn. Supporting cast and all.
I thought we would get a QB this year. So just hoping we get one next year is still just hoping.

We hired a guy that runs a similar Gus type offense that was figured out ten years ago. This is what happens when you let lumber guys think they are the smartest guy in the room because they bought a once in a lifetime quarterback over a decade ago.

Yeah. Quick throws make it hard for their D to get all those sacks. Having Hunter and Cobb in the backfield poses a running treat and they are big enough to block.
Hate seeing Battie run up the middle. He's not some big bruiser that can plow through arm tackles.
