Literally. Months of "hahaha WTF we're ranked 80th and dead last in the SEC below Vanderbilt hahaha WTF we're Boise State South. Does this guy know he needs to recruit??"

Now that we're in the Top 15 and literally sitting 5th in the SEC (FOR NOW - it looks like Kentucky might lose their 5-star OT to Michigan State) and the storyline has shifted to "yeah but we might not get Perry" or "there are still holes to fill". Or apparently it's still a fail because we didn't out-recruit Georgia or Alabama LOL.

This staff has absolutely proven that they can recruit, and I was saying for MONTHS that the doom and gloom about being "last in the SEC" would not hold on NSD. They have felt strong about all of these kids for a long time now. It's almost as if in recruiting what matters is who actually signs with you at the end of the cycle, not what you "rank" 3 months away from signing day while you're sitting there with less than 10 commitments.

Most of the panic was literally fueled by numbers-driven mirage and I kept trying to reiterate that. We're sitting "dead last in the SEC" with 9 commitments, meanwhile South Carolina has 18 with all of them being 3-stars LMAO.
