Question…

Is this Philon kid related to the Philon kid that we had committed in football, who later flipped to Alabama, then to Arkansas after Alabama yanked his scholarship last minute?

Pretty sure he is, just not sure how closely related.

Heard a rumor earlier that A Basketball only facility is in the works, budget has been approved, but nothing on the location or how much money is in the budget.

That was the best offensive game we’ve played this season.

Turnovers and rebounding were the key.

UGA actually shot the 3 very well, but we controlled the boards and valued our possessions.

5 turnovers for the entire game.
Outrebounded them by 10.

Seems like there were more turned ankles than turnovers.

The Men’s basketball addition was approved a while back, basically an expansion of the current faculty near the Charles Barkley Statue. Will take about 6 parking spots to build.

It was approved but didn’t Pearl ask for them to focus on NIL right now over the facility and that delayed it a bit?

Probably means that AU may feel pretty good about where NIL is right now and is moving forward with Bruce’s facility.

Am I hallucinating or is KD playing more under control?

He got an offensive foul last night, but I really think it was a block.

Meanwhile, UGA dude expended arm to create space and they gave us a foul.

I know that is the hardest call in sports.

He has since he was benched. Has a way to go but he as well as Wen really seem to be bought in and trying to improve.

People have been critical of KD lately because he hasn't been very productive but he has been our best perimeter defender by far and isn't doing as many dumb things. The frustrating thing with him is that he seems damn near unstoppable when he takes the ball to the hole under control but he continues to settle for threes.

9 games left.

@UTk
@A&M
Bama
Missouri
@Vandy
Ole Miss
@UK
@Bama
UTk

3 Must Wins sandwiched in between 6 tough ones.

I think 6 wins is a good and reasonable goal. 4-5 wins seems likely result.

I'm gonna guess 5-4, putting us at 22-9 (12-6) and 6 or 7 seed in the tourney

From my understanding this is completely different. This would be a 50+ million basketball only facility like what Houston just built.

Eventually we are going to need one. Houston has one. Louisville has one I believe, and they have dorms for basketball players that connect to the basketball facility where they can go from their room to the court without stepping foot outside.

I know this was discussed in tandem with Bruce extension talks last year. Bruce was mainly leveraging for assistant raises and a basketball only facility. I don’t know if they reached anything more than a wink wink agreement and prelim plans with TPTB but I know Bruce heard what he needed to hear
