we start the season 5-0 and everyone starts talking 2004 national title for a week. we finish our regular 7-5 to 9-3 and then we find out if the booster hate harsin enough to pony up what his buyout over 20m i think

I will let y’all know after the LSU game what I think because I have nothing to go by other then mediocre at best OL, 1 really good DL in Wooden and a good running back that never seems to hit the homerun in the big games. Hall and Eku could be solid pass rushers but need more consistency and more results.

I do think the Penn State and LSU games determines our season. So we should know early

I guarantee you, if Auburn wins 4 games or less, he won’t be retained.

Whether we like it or not, Bryan Harsin is under a microscope more (quicker) than any other Auburn coach I can remember.

Recruiting! Depends on what he accomplishes off the field as much as on the field. If we finish around 12-15 in recruiting with holes everywhere on the roster and a graduating of the entire OL and can’t replace with highly rated OL that could potentially a couple come in and start day 1 he’s in trouble. Our top WR prospect is Karmello English. That’s not good enough to win in the SEC although the kid is a fine WR. In state DL class we are gonna have to fight off Bama, UGA, Clemson to get some of the scraps it’s looking like. If we sign only 3 or less in the top 10 in recruiting he’s in trouble. That is the hope. If his recruiting is just getting by there is no hope and will find himself out the door. With it looking like AU will be able to sign around 30ish players if we aren’t top 8 in the country this class will be considered a big let down again.

In this era, recruiting has very little to do with skill, and EVERYTHING to do with the benjamins fellas. All this talk about "good" recruiting coaches is a thing of the past.

Rather than spend 20 million to get rid of him, spend it on NIL and win a natty.

@ Georgia and @ Alabama are automatic losses.

With our roster, he’s fighting a near impossible battle to win 5 of the 6 remaining SEC games plus Penn State. That’s what it would take to win 9 regular season games.

My guess is we’ll only win 2 or 3 of those SEC games. We don’t have much talent at QB, WR, or offensive line.

What does this team have that last years team didn’t in order to get 9 wins?

I don’t see it. I think we have to have some luck to get to 8 wins.

If we want to be optimistic, the Georgia game was the only game that was unwinnable last year.....and maybe aTm....

A hot take? Tank suffers an injury early and won’t lead this team in rushing.

TAMU was only up by 6 points in the 4th before the Nix fumble killed our chances. Granted we hadn’t done shite offensively all day, but neither had they.

UGa we seemed to play pretty well and still got monkeyhammered. So I’d say that was the only game we seemed totally outclassed from ghe beginning.

My hot take: we will be a better team by the end of 2022 than we were at our peak in 2021. May not be reflected in our record, but it will be obvious.

We win only 5 games and Harsin is let go at the end of the season. Maybe before that.
