This year is turning out to not be much better if we do in fact miss out on Putnam. People can argue all they want about playcalling but Gus getting fired is gonna be because of sucky OL recruiting

And the one thing a coach HAS to recruit well in, is in the trenches on offense and defense.

CTT also had his downfall towards the end bc he couldn't recruit quality SEC QBs, so he tried half heartedly to change his style of offense w/ Franklin. Epic failure.

KN says that it's still not certain that Jashawn Sheffield will sign next week and has heard from source he's 95% committed. Apparently SCAR pushing hard for him to take an OV in January

Also KN has update on DJ Williams this morning. Says UGA definitely wants him but he's hearing that AU might still be the team to beat. Dawgs hard after 5* RB Trey Sanders as well

Rivals saying that Tega is likely to declare for NFL. Would explain the late offer to grad transfer

Nix gonna be running for his life next year...

frick. Seems like a terrible decision but I am not waking in his shoes. He probably has lots of mouths to feed back in Africa.

Why the heck do we have this mass Exodus every year of folks who aren't 1-2 round draft picks? We'd have been a completely different team this year if Jeff Holland had simply stayed. The focus is on high school recruiting, but we need to shore up our own internal recruiting - ala Kirby Smart with Chubb and Michel.

Guys who can recruit outside the program (ie Kirby Smart) can also recruit guys to stay for the betterment of the program and their Own future.

Gus isn’t all that good at it.

I don't understand this. Wait a year and earn a bigger paycheck.

What if we go to an offense that features a more run oriented QB? At tackle, he’s going to be judged for pass blocking and it he’s only doing that 20% of his snaps then his ability to improve his draft stock could stall.

Physically he’s there. Our offense is not beloved by NFL organizations and we’ve struggled to produce NFL OL since Gus arrived

Which is odd since 80% of all football now runs some variation of our offense...

Terrible decision. He's nowhere near ready. He may not be after next year either but he's certainly not now.

I get so pissed off watching other teams do what our coach reinvented better than we do. Clemson and Bama being two examples.

Now before everyone melts should note that they are the biggest homers of any site & are constantly wrong. Interested to see what KN says

MSST mods are still hearing it's AU/MSST

Usually good news for the one team that's consistently mentioned as a top contender
