Jalen Goss just committed to FSU

Obviously means we are landing Gouraige this weekend

(please lord let us not regret going harder after Goss....)

Paw, I really appreciate you passing along the recruiting news and insight. I wasn't aware of this site until September 2017. Prior to that, I paid for an "insider" subscription.

You are the equivalent of a really rich guy buying a huge tract of land near a major city and cutting a free toll road through it.

Thank you!

Preciate it

I spend way too much time following this stuff might as well make myself feel productive bringing it here

When LSU has a mediocre season, we'll definitely have a shot.

I would honestly love to see them return to their pre saban mediocrity. It looks like they are on their way

Now we just have to not blow a huge lead against them this year

I agree, we don’t use a TE and we already have Shenker. I’d love to see McClain. Bulk up and be a monster there.

Ive often wondered why we dont try McClain in a TE/HB position. He is one of the ten fastest on the team, and a load. A hell of a wasted talent right now.

For fun of it looked at my first class prediction in April
quote:

4* QB Joey Gatewood (Commit)
4* RB Harold Joiner
3* RB Shaun Shivesr (Commit)
4* TE Tyneil Hopper
4* WR Justyn Ross
4* WR Seth Williams --> I expect this changes when Bama decides to pursue but right now I think we are team to beat
4* WR Matthew Hill
4* OT Richard Gouraige --> A bit of reach probably
4* OG Tank Jenkins
4* OG/C Jalil Irvin (Commit)
3* OT/OG Kameron Stutts
4* DE Daquan Newkirk (Commit)
4* DE/DT Alfred Thomas --> I think Fehoko lands at LSU or UGA & we offer Thomas this summer
4* DT Coynis Miller
3* Buck Caleb Tannor
3* Buck/LB Richard Jibunor
4* LB Quay Walker
4* LB Zakoby McClain
4* LB/S Nathaniel Watson
4* CB Jalyn Armour-Davis
4* CB Jordan Miner
3* CB/S Juanyeh Thomas
4* S Quindarious Monday

Not bad on offense but missed wildly on the back 7 of defense

Also for those that like watching film on recruits Shedrick Jackson released his senior highlights

Definitely think he's AU's next deep threat. Makes some pretty tough catches deep in coverage, something Slayton struggled with this past season. Also love his footwork. Made a few guys look silly on tape. I wouldn't be surprised if he saw the field early next year backing up Slayton

I’m not sure how college coaches evaluate WRs and DBs. That has to be the hardest positions to project.

I would think bigger body positions like OL and DT would be he hardest to predict... those guys (especially OLs) take years to develop. Very few are college ready.

We all can see a high school WR or DB and know if he’s athletic based on how he moves in open space.

You don't take a speed guy and make him a blocker. McClain is a Sammy Coates type wide out.

He's a freshman backing up a junior. Just because a guy doesn't come in and dominate day one doesn't mean he's a bust or being used inappropriately.

Mclain would get crushed at Hback. Need at least 240lbs back there to block those LBs and DEs.
