Chris Westry and I have decided we will accept your "near" praise for him, as apology enough.
I can't promise you he will ever make All-American at CB, but I am convinced he will contribute. Plus he has the size/athletic ability to block kicks and/or make plays nobody else can make. We just have to get him coached.

I'm not even remotely convinced that Westry will ever actually play CB, but his athletic upside is intriguing regardless of where he actually ends up positionally. I think there has been talk that he's now legit over 6'4 in height, that is simply bordering on absurd for a CB no matter how much you want to bring up "bigger" Corners. Richard Sherman is 6'2 and 5/8ths.

Kerryon Johnson will play Safety at the UA game per Keith Niebuhr. He said they really wanted him to play in their game and already had a lot of RB's, so they offered him the chance to play safety since he's so versatile. He did say that we recruited him at RB and only RB.

Westry needs to get on deer antler spray. It would be nice to have a 6'4 safety batting balls down.

Name me all the 6'4+ corners that are actually good. Go ahead. It is absurdly hard to be nimble and agile enough with fluid enough hips to play corner WELL at that height. Like I said; Westry would be a giant anomaly if he actually succeeded as a corner at that height.
I've heard that he's actually closer to ~6'4.5 now. If true, that would make him nearly 2 full inches taller than Richard Sherman, the guy that everyone uses as the benchmark for "tall corners". That is a BIG difference.

I haven't followed recruiting at all this year but the couple of times I've peeped in this thread he's been discussed. Will it really hurt to take a flyer on the guy? I like having kids who are loyal and really want to be at Auburn like Jonathan Wallace for example.
I think you guys just need someone to bicker over every couple of pages to make the time until signing day go by a little faster
