Agreed. Which is why I exited as quickly as possible.

anthony swain is a gadsden city guy... he's turned out alright, but wasn't all that highly recruited or anything.

outside of kirkpatrick, the GCHS guys haven't done very much in college... they've had kids at bama, clemson, and auburn. granted, producing a 1st round pick like DK is impressive.

Yeah, I remember when Emma Sanson, Litchfield, and Gadsden High converged. Everyone thought they'd be a state powerhouse. It hasn't quite worked out that way with 1 semi-final appearance .

Great.

I hope he's going to FSU. Don't want a kid who was basically ours turning into an All-American at Bama.

Even so, I don't think this will be the last we hear of Casher.

nah... that ship must've sailed this weekend... someone didn't hear what they wanted to hear. I'd say the odds of Casher signing with Auburn are around zero.

Gus must have hurt his feels or decided he didn't want him after the drama and talking to him.

Gus probably told him that if he was gonna commit, he needed to stick to it and not take any more visits, and that probably didn't sit well with Casher.

Just my guess.

I'd imagine it was more like what LCT put out. I just think they told him to sit on the commitment for awhile, see how he feels going forward and that he can always commit later.

Auburn doesn't seem to be pushing guys too hard at the moment so letting him sit with his decision isn't going to hurt us or him

I hope he didn't tell Casher he couldn't take visits. He'll run a lot of recruits off like that.

I would think the Casher situation is different due to Casher committing and then decommitting

I'm getting a feeling that the coaches are playing the gamble of finishing strong on the season and trying to flip a few higher profile guys in January and February.

As for Casher, I would certainly think that the coaches told him that if he committed he better not visit anywhere else or they were done with him. I just can't see all the stuff floating around Friday and then him eliminating us Tuesday.

Well seeing as we're letting other commits visit, I don't think that's going to be a policy of Gus. Casher was a different situation though.

Do we even have a center to replace Reese after 2014? I don't see why you wouldn't wanna come to Auburn as a center right now but perhaps I am biased.
