I guess those are the positives. It just scares me because it's essentially for nothing. For Auburn, if you've got highly rated prospects playing in a local all-star game the risk isn't worth the reward.

ETA: I fully understand nationally recognized and televised all-star games. They help with exposure and publicity for the program.. AL-MS just doesn't float my boat.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party, but Myron Burton's analysis sounds just like TJ Green from last years class. He's from
Sylacauga, AL and had awesome size and speed but wasn't recruited too hard by us. Dabo personally flew down and went to the high school to make sure that kid would sign with Clemson. They got a steal in him. Sounds like we'll get a steal with Burton

TJ Green has 2 catches for 0 yards. Why are you so sure already that he was a steal? I'm not arguing, just confused.

I think FreeWillie was the one asking why we weren't taking him because he knew him or something like that.

Whatever happened to the Berry twins? Are they not nearly as good as expected or are we conceding them to UT?

Both... Neither is as good as people thought they'd be 18 months ago, and everyone is conceding them to UT (not a huge loss tbh).

Have not recruited them since Troop left.

There were a number of players with high talent ceilings from Alabama last year and years before that we let slip through the cracks.

From last year
DeRunnya Wilson (starts for MSU)
Zach Cunningham

I doubt those all star games run blitzes or bump coverage...they all know it means nothing.

To the kids that have the offers they want it means nothing. To the kids that are looking for offers or the ones looking for a star bump like Jason Smith did last year or like Kam Pettway may be this year, it means quite a bit.

I saw him play a few times. He'll be badass once he gets adjusted to the college game. He's super fast and big enough to play safety if he wanted. In fact, he did play safety in high school in addition to receiver.

Fair enough. Guess that's as good a reason to believe in him as any - especially given that Clemson's staff is backing you up.

Regarding Greg Bryant, he has 3 carries on the season, so no redshirt.

Victor Beasley is one of those that comes to mind from a few years back. Legacy recruit at the time. We missed big time on him when we lost him to Clempsun.

He probably will. Only 3 carries this year for 14yards. He hasn't played since their 3rd game so his RS is still intact.

He can't unless he had a season ending injury. If you play at all you are ineligible for a standard RS. The RS rule you are thinking of is for medical RSs only.

I guess I should have clarified. I thought y'all knew he was injured. My bad
