This in effect is the Bryant Rule so schools don't stockpile passed the 85 with players on nonathletic scholarships.
I posted this in another thread but we have an invited walk on Gage Batten who received academic scholarship of some sort that did not count against the limit at least for his RS year and I was under the impression it was until he stepped on the field
ETA: There sounded like a lot of strict stipulations on how you receive the funds and what qualifies you. I'm pretty sure it has to be a standardized guaranteed scholarship for all students and you cannot play while having the scholly
Sandman said it before too lol so I have das Germans

Per AUC Evans is down to Auburn, UGA, Bama, UCLA. No order. Tennessee eliminated.

Has anyone checked out the updated insider notes on AUC? Anything good?

It's all team related, not recruiting

I posted it somewhere in the spring practice thread. I think page 2. It has nothing recruiting related.

He posted it on his Instagram. Appears he is all in. Hope it stays that way

Some interesting notes from Allie Davison on Darrel Williams, Louisiana RB visiting tomorrow. He's the backup option to Fournette at LSU, and has essentially moved on to other schools. If Auburn offers, he may commit tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see how Auburn handles the situation with him and Roc. Williams is a very solid player and would be a good pickup, but Roc has been Auburn's guy this whole process.

quote:Meh. Not impressed with him (based purely on his highlights). He has a weird running motion.

I have to agree with joey. Doesn't look natural running the ball. He gets a very slow start out of the backfield. I do like his size and potential but dont want to mess anything up with ROC

Well she also said we're recruiting him as an athlete, so maybe he'd play safety?

I could see that. Kinda reminds me of Jermaine Whitheads hs highlights. He was Rb and wildcat qb

Darrell Williams is the second choice for RB by LSU. I don't think he'd be willing to play for Auburn on the other side of the ball. He wants to play RB, thats why he's moving on from LSU.

- NM has set himself up nice for strong consideration as the starter
- Lawson, Daniel, King and Flowers should all see the field the season with significant playing time.
- Don't be surprised if Monty redshirts this year
