Per AUC Lamin want's his OV to be for a game this fall since he has already UOVed this summer. Still very interested in Auburn.

Lamin also tweeted he is going to Nebraska tomorrow. That was a quick change of plans.

6-foot-6 Homewood DE Dwayne Orso attracting college football offers of his own

Homewood coach Doug Goodwin told AL.com his 6-foot-6, 255-pound defensive end has offers from Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee State, UAB and Western Kentucky.

Goodwin said Orso went to LSU last weekend and worked out at defensive end, offensive tackle and at tight end.

Orso had 57 tackles last fall as a junior. He came up with 8.5 tackles for losses, two sacks and caused two fumbles.

"He's just got to work on being more consistent with that big body of his and being able to change direction a little better," Goodwin said, who said the Ole Miss came to see him this summer and also really liked him.

Anybody heard of this guy? I know Ellis likes'em tall and athletic seems like he would be a good fit? Also there's another O-lineman at Homewood mentioned

Rising junior tackle John Yarbrough (6-5, 265) looks like he'll have clear-cut Division I and maybe even SEC ability going forward.

He had a better year in the trenches at Homewood than Jordan Sims did when he was a sophomore. He was even more productive than 2013 UAB signee Zach Sims was when he was at the same stage of his varsity career.

"Georgia and Ole Miss came and saw him in practice last spring and said to us that 'Hey we really like that guy' and I expect him to continue to work hard and get better and he may also be big-time himself next summer."

Orso projects on the offensive line, IMO. But he's a few years away considering he can't put on the weight he needs to put on if he continues playing basketball.

He could, sure. I just like his potential most on the offensive line.

Former 2/3* DE Chase Robison may be transferring to Auburn: Memphis Newspaper

Here's his 247 profile from last year.

It's weird to me that none of the Auburn reporters have confirmed this, so IDK if its true or not.

We are going to end up with more D-Linemen than we know what to do with.

Matt Scalici of AL.com thinks AU ends up with a top 5 class this year and next year. Next year for sure he emphasized.

Yes, it would be tough, pretty much impossible, to jump the teams leading in recruiting this year.

it will be tough, and we had a pretty highly ranked prospect decommit (with a slim chance at getting a recommit or filling the spot with player of equal ranking).

Some things would definitely have to fall our way... to finish near the top 5 we need to build some momentum this season (and have some of our competition fall off).

Do you guys see LSU falling off? Damn, they remind me of us last year. Their D I still stacked, though.

Is he going to use AuburnFamily rankings?

I think Auburn has a serious chance at a top 10 if you include JUCO players and would be surprised if we fell below 12-15.

How I see it from the very little I hear and my thoughts based on that and what we read

QB- Sean White will end up being a mid to high 4* after his hype and a great senior season. Should impress in all star games as well

RB- I believe we get Roc Thomas who is a fringe 5 star

WR- I believe we pull in a Travis Rudolph, Cameron Sims, Myles Autry or even a long shot like Josh Malone - E can correct me on desired WR #s but I think we find a diamond in the rough tlent a la Jordan Matthews from Vandy and he rises through the ranks. Add D Williams

TE- CHris Laye has been thought of as a sleeper and people like him may go up but TE is hard to find highly rated kids

OL- I truly don't believe we are out of it from Casher. I haven't talked to the people I know about coaches reaction to Casher bailing but I believe we are holding out hope. Don't believe that Bama has a spot for him at the moment and I think he will end up realizing that. If he doesn't come, I see Sims form Homewood coming our way. Add Dontavious Blair and we are set

DE- Lambert, Thornton + a 4* like Andrew Williams and the project Kennion. That is a dirty DE class right after we picked up Elijah Daniel and Carl Lawson two 5*s. I also think it is likely that this happens as well

DT- I dn't think we pick up a solid DT form HS this year/big name DT unless we find them and they move up later on

LB- Tre Williams, Rashaan Evans and Deshaun Davis soudns dirty and really possible

CB- Nick Ruffin and another mid to high 4* CB or Stephen Roberts type (Harbison is a good enough recruiter to make that happen)

S- Derrick Moncreif and a low/mid 4* S

Totals

1 5*s- DWilliams maybe DBlair/RocThomas/Tre (I'll count as 4s though)

13 4*s

5-8 3*s or however we fillthe clas

That is a very reasonable projection for stars and the class and pretty conservative in my opinion. Our star rating will be extremely high around the 3.6 range and with 20 recruits, we easily meet the qualifications to be rated higher (sub 20 messes with ranking scores)

As Gene pointed out a day or 2 ago it will be difficult for us to have a top 5 or maybe even a top 10 class because juco rankings on the sites are so irratic plus on at least 2 sites they are not given the same value as high school recruits.

Edit: He already replied.

I think they lose 3 games this season. They lost way to much talent to the draft. Couple that with a new OC, tough schedule, and QB with a lot to prove and I think they drop 3.

With that said I don't think they're "falling off" Just going to have a normal "down" year after losing sooo much talent. They'll be solid again next season

I think they lose to Bama and UGA. UF is a tossup and either Ole Miss or A&M surprise them.

But if they lose to bama, UGA, UF, A&M, and if we get lucky; they'll go crazy.

Not a bad problem to have, as long as they are quality players. With an offense that isn't based on ball control, we're going to have to be able to rotate our DL a lot, which means a quality 3-4 deep at each position is going to be necessary, maybe not quite as much at DE, but definitely at DT. Those guys are going to see a lot of snaps every game with how quickly the offense will score, as well as go 3 and out.

Not sure what you mean by this but I have AUF using the composite which is the fairest because it equally weighs all 4 sites. Also you are 1 short on the Safety position. The staff plans to sign 3.
