Ellis Johnson is so fricking good he took an 11 win team at Southern Miss and went winless.

what does that have to do with anything?... alabama hired mario christobal as OL coach... he won three games at FIU last year as HC.

Johnson has a pretty solid track record as DC/assistan coach. It's considerably better than Chizik's first DC hire (who was also a HC failure).

So, if you want to see our future All-SEC WR lay the wood on a DB instead of ducking like a sissy, check out Williams at 3:35ish in his Hudl film LINK

He was also completely sabatoged by the new AD who did not want him there.

I know how yalz love you some Holland. Well here's more Holland than you can probably handle.
quote:

Holland says that everyone is excited to start practice.
Holland says there is a lot of enthusiasm in the weight room during offseason workouts.
Holland mentioned that last seasonis in the past and they have moved on.
Holland says that it's very important for him to lead, says the team is motivated.
Holland also mentioned RB Tre Mason stepping up and leading the running back group. Says that Mason makes sure that every running back goes through workouts correctly.

Meh. I have no problem with Holland wanting to be a leader and motivate people to get better.

That is a good thing. The more people on the team we have holding people accountable, the better.

As long as he does it from the bench, he can lead/motivate to his heart's desire.

"hey guys, I sucked last year, but i'm busting my arse. You want me to beat you out this year again???"

I cringed when I saw the McNeal and Whitehead are our potential starting safeties.

I don't know if they can teach angles and stop getting burnt that quickly. These guys are not any good.

Interdasting stuff from Ellis today.

McNeal and Holsey are co-No 1's at safety. Whitehead being the other safety.

Kenny Flowers working at Will LB
Brandon King working at boundery Safety

Demetruce McNeal and Josh Holsey are listed as co-starters, but I believe Josh Holsey will transition back to cornerback. I think he was a quick fix during spring. I expect Brandon King to push at the boundary safety, though. He's a freak physically and athletically. And he can lay a lick.

Come on, it was Jermaine Whitehead's first season at safety. He spent his freshman year as a nickel back. Give him some time.

Yep. They didn't bring King in to sit.

He just is not physical enough.
