I have absolutely zero knowledge, but I would guess grades were the main deterrent from him signing out of high school.

I remember LSU fans saying DQ was rated low out of LA due to grades. Since he wasn't expected to qualify nobody ranked him high

It's not that he had bad grades, he just didn't have the required credits. He went to an unaccredited high school for two years, or something. Weird situation.

Just for clarification...

An LSU fan would be able to help us out here.

Have you ever seen a fan base turn on a recruit going outa state like those assholes? I mean seriously. It's like they all take it personally.

2015 4* TE Wilkerson did not commit as his friend said on face. Per 247 though LINK Auburn is his leader and he will visit AU on Feb. 1. He says he would likely commit if Auburn offers then.

I don't think projecting his size will be an issue since we also recruited his brother who wound up at WVU. As I remember he never got a commitable offer but that was a few cycles ago so my memory could be off, but I do believe Gus was on staff at that time so he would be quite familiar with the family.

Is the #18 player in GA for 2015 and still ranked inside the Top 247.

I am all for petitioning to have AU become both a GA and AL school! Why not?

-We're recruiting Braden Smith as a Tackle now. He will get a visit from Grimes as soon as the dead period is over.
-Done at WR
-Recruiting Treon Harris as an ATH but he will get a chance at QB. Don't want to scare away Sean White.
-want another Safety. McDowell has cooled as of late. Evaluating Demetrius Kemp and Markell Boston. Either would most likely jump at an offer if it came.

247 update

Kerryon Johnson, Malik Miller, Terry Godwin, Jeffrey Holland, Daron Payne and Trent Thompson will all be 5* IMO along with Tyler Carr and some other high 4*-5* kids all have us very high. With Queen, Rice, Buie all being 4* kids and Jason Smith will be ranked very high for JUCO's as well.

Buie, Rice and Miller are not yet ranked but all three should start @ 4*.

I wish my boy Jalen Johnson hadn't gotten hurt in the preseason. Kid is a flat out baller. I figured if we missed on a few guys he'd get an offer, but no such luck with the ACL tear.

Potentially very good news.

Now ex-LSU commit, Davon Godchaux, is opening up his recruitment. He is a guy that hurt his knee and Auburn coaches have been trying to get him to visit for a while now.

EDIT: Nevermind, he's still committed but "open"

Doubt it. He's in love with that coach.
