I love laughing at Coonass

I guess getting 4* to agree to live in Starkville for 4 years is a pretty big accomplishment, though

I want Foster and always was a bit overconfident with our chances of getting him. I never thought a kid going to AUHS, who has a daugther living here, a mom working for the university and to top it off an Auburn tattoo would not come to AU let along Alabama. To add to this, Foster's constant presence in the AD, talking to coaches and everyone feeling good about Foster to AU really made me confident.

From a talent and bettering our team standpoint, I still think Adams and Lawson are bigger gets, especially with the raw talent we have at LB and only 2 LB positions. I think Foster would easily have been great just don't see the dropoff being awful.

The contribution that Adams and Lawson will be huge though and I am not butthurt about how our class will end up (except wanting to be neck and neck with Ole Miss cause I mean wtf). I am butthurt from the "he obviously should go to AU and this is one of the only 5 stars we "should" get" and we still can't pull him from Bama

END RANT

Good read. That article makes me think we may get Mackenro, but not Mackenzie.

I want them both. I want them to thrive together. Those are the types of kids you want to pull for and want to see succeed bad. Such a tough life most of us cannot come close to comprehending.

Really want them at AU and to be able to pull for them the next few years. Reminds me of the Omac story when he came to AU to a lesser degree. Really hope he gets drafted. He certainly had a good career at AU and maximized his talents IMO.

The part about him knowing where he is going a week ago, possibly much longer.

Mackensie, with one official visit unused, stayed home this past weekend. He had reached his decision a week ago -- perhaps much earlier -- and felt comfortable with it, although he wouldn't offer a clue.

The player I wanted most from the moment we were after him strong was Lawson. The kid is focused, smart, leader, and does things right. We got him and I am friggan happy. The rest is icing for me.

You take out the "perhaps much earlier" and it strongly points to AU. That would have been right after his official visit and can be looked at as a reason he didn't take another official this past weekend.

Very well could be. However, his brother hadn't visited AU yet, so that is why I said that. Again, I said "may". I have no idea. Insiders seem to think we have a great shot, but I doubt any of them really know.

According to a friend of Rueben Foster's that I tlked today an argument definetly happenend between Foster and someone during his visit that caused him to leave. He didn't say if it was Dismukes or not.

did he not. i thought mackensie came two weeks ago and mackenroe came last weekend.

But i could be mistaken about that.

and let me guess...the answer is in the article i was too lazy to click on? Stupid barner.

Wouldn't that make it more likely that we'd get Mackensie and not Mackenro then?

The story of them not being a package deal anymore came out right after Mackensie left Auburn and Mackenro left Morgantown. The same time that this article just said he made his decision.

Agreed.

That was a good read from ESPN as well.
