I’m with you, skyler. Harsin owns this hiring/firing each and every way. But he’s gotta know this isn’t working in a way that we don’t
I think it will be blamed on footbal/performance, but theres probably something behind the scenes going on that resulted in AU/Harsin distancing from Williams like this. Otherwise they'd just cite personal issues and he'd slink into the background.

I don’t know anything about Corn but results have been bad. I got slammed on here for saying in the videos from the fall that Canion and Capers were half assing it and just goofing off. It shows. Plus if you seriously think Seth is your number 1 you can’t evaluate talent. Not saying I’m happy or sad about the firing I don’t know how to feel but the bottom line it falls at the feet of the head coach both the hiring and firing. Corn was hired because he was supposed to get us in some talent in Alabama that hasn’t happened. As far as the playbook and what techniques Harsin wanted we will never know. Seems you can be a players coach but you better be a hard arse mental giant at practice and game days or you won’t fit with this core group of coaches

Harsin must think our WRs have untapped talent. I am not so sure. I think it's a recruiting problem.

They aren't All-Americans, but they shouldn't be as bad as they've been.

Go look at the rankings, we have 3 or 4 that were ranked above Seth coming in.

So over on the AUFam thread, there's a rumor that the "Boise Boys" don't get along with the SEC baws on staff. Boise Boys are apparently winning in the struggle so far.

Of course, this is all likely bullshite, but it makes a good story.

The only question I have is how Harsin wouldn't know? He interviewed the guy and watches practices. It doesn't make sense that he wouldn't know. I'm going with something nefarious, possibly personal as the reason. Harsin wouldn't be ignoring the least productive group in his offense. He'd be scrutinizing it.

Literally his job is routes and catching. If he puts receivers on the field that can't catch then it is on him.

He should have gotten them some stick'em.

There will be all kinds of speculation on why this happened. I am a huge Harsin fan so I trust his decision. That is the bottom line.............'cause Stone Cold said so.

Thinking it over yeah this doesn’t look great on Harsin. We are desperate for good play but don’t think Williams was the problem.

It’s a bad hire if you’re willing to fire them this quickly. So that’s that. I think anyone is willing to recognize it. However, there’s something refreshing about the willingness to fail quick. That shouldn’t be discounted either. Obviously something was apparent that isn’t obvious to fans. Props to Harsin for wearing that failure. Now we have to judge the fallout

He probably did alpine, and Im agreeing with you here. But it is a business. You tell him, you tell him again, you write him up, you put him on notice (none of which we are privy to), and then that disaster so you fire him.

Yeah, I'm willing to call it a bad hire and stick that on Harsin. However, I like that he's not gonna let it get worse than it needs to be and stick with someone who isn't getting it done just they don't look as bad for the original hire.

I'm not saying this is all Corn's fault either, but the willingness to shake it up to try and get it right is nice compared to banging your head on a wall over and over doing the same thing.

I'm sure Sammie Coates can identify with all the drops these WRs have had.

Nope, not all Corn’s fault.

It’s funny because I think all of us worried about Harsin only bringing Boise guys over and I wonder how much Harsin regretted that decision from the start. Eli Drinkwitz has spoken to how tough Harsin is to work for. I think we’ll get more comfortable with this type of thing happening

Yes, and it happens. I've had this happen three times in my career once I had to be responsible for other people. Each time I wish I would have made a move sooner. My arse and job was on the line so I felt like I was putting myself in sight lines. Self-preservation is a huge motivator and just using logic I'm going to assume its at play here. I think there is something personal going on because I just don't think a task-master like Harsin wouldn't know that Williams sucks at this point.

We have Tank and Hunter in the backfield, so all is well.

Are you telling me that a D1 receiver coach has to teach guys that he didn't recruit how to catch a football?

Dangalang releases his "Leave Bo Nix alone" Tiktok. It is expected to go viral. Dangalang put on suicide watch in case Bo Nix doesn't start next Saturday.
