On the show this morning, @HunterYurachek said they are planning a BIG renovation to Bud Walton Arena here in the next 3-5 years. Be interesting to see what renovations will be made.

Gonna update the Palace just in time for the next great era of Hog ball.
I figure they'll do extensive concourse and seating renovations.
I wouldn't doubt if the capacity actually goes down, but has larger l, more comfortable seats and suites.

Previously in the Arkansas Athletic Facilities Master Plan they are about halfway down the list - LINK
Baum Expansion will be different moving in a more player-friendly direction and BWA renovations follow it.
The 5,000 Seat Competition Venue for volleyball and gymnastics will be the next major from scratch build and Barnhill would likely cease at that point.

Going to be a sad day when we say goodbye to Barnhill. My high school graduation was there and some pretty good basketball games.

Yes and most of them have stuck pretty closely to the design, which I hope is the case for BWA, the all glass exterior around the concourse would look great.

Back off the seating capacity to 15k. Set the upper deck ticket prices at $17.50 ea.

This! I wish our students were right behind the scorers table the full length of the court.
It looks much more impressive on TV than old folks sitting on their hands.

Man I REALLY want to keep Barnhill in some fashion. Went to allot of GREAT games there, and one where I should have been thrown out for how I was treating the ref that was about 10 feet away from me for about a third of the game. Hahaha. Was a hell of a good time though. Would have been worth jt.

Barnhill might be the ugliest shitpile of a structure on campus. Knock it down and build a parking garage for Razorback Stadium there.

Au container, that would have to be some of the old dorms and the science building.
But still keep the Barn. Make it into a Razorback sports museum or something similar. Way too much great history to be a stupid ugly arse parking garage. Guess your too damn lazy to walk a bit, not that a parking deck there would really help anything anyway.
