Aggies made their move and Mississippi state just did the same. We’re gonna be left holding our dick again aren’t we?

Give it til the end of the day. Pretty sure something is in the works, but it could also be a decision that he's done at the end of the season

Either way I think it's a done deal

Maybe Pittman wants to “retire” but will stay on through end of season and try to keep the recruiting class together.

When are we not unless something falls into our laps? We’re always standing without a chair when the music stops. But they do need to either just fire him or affirm that he’s going to be back next year. There’s no good strategy in waiting to see which other schools fire their coaches first unless we’re trying to hire recently terminated coaches.

It's not like HY can't talk with agents/coaches while also waiting to fire Pittman at the end of the season. No coaches are going to leave their teams before the season is over so I'm not sure what difference it makes.

UofA sent out a media notice last night that Pittman would be at his regular noon presser today.

That likely means he will not be fired today and it will be a normal work week. They won't call Sam there just to announce he's fired, unless Hunter joins him. It would also start leaking out by players if Pittman had addresses the team about his future.

Yet again, Arkansas is acting like they are running the United Nations human rights moral superiority campaign rather than a business in a league full of fricking curtthroats.

But hey... At least we can say we have dignity while winning 3 games ever year!! Vandy 2.0!

I bet he announces retirement and will finish season. They aren’t gonna “fire” the man

why the hell not? Because he loves the logo? Hell I’m as die hard a Razorback fan as there is, that doesn’t mean I’m qualified to coach the football team. Qualification has to be more than just they want to be here. And pittmans got millions of reasons for nobody to feel sorry for him.

If he really didn’t want to be fired he should’ve tried not sucking arse

I'm convinced this will happen. I feel like Pittman has earned the right to go out with dignity and respect, and I haven't felt that way about an Arkansas football coach in some time.

Before you know it, Sam will be in some made-up role with the foundation so he can fundraise, attend games, go to Oaklawn, and retire in Arkansas without being hated. Neither side has any reason to make this messy.

Exactly! I’m going to put my early money on Jeff Traylor being our next coach. Florida and aTm fight for Elko. One of those teams could have the money to hire Dan Lanning, but may have an easier path where he is in Oregon

Telling you, hogs behind the 8 ball already: we will settle again. Fans might as well give up on football. We are and will stay the new Vanderbilt in that sport

And I don’t think anyone feels sorry for him and I bet he doesn’t want people to feel this way. He will be the first to tell us he didn’t get the job done.

Is there a way to watch the presser live? I normally just watch, after the fact but kind of want to tune in live today.

Chadwell is the odds favorite for the State job... I swear, if we miss out on a hire like Chadwell because we waited 11 extra days I'm gonna shite a brick

There isn’t a logical point of retaining Pittman. Team has quit. Recruits have been jumping. Please explain why, after 2 SEC West coaches have already been fired(unless we just have the best, slam dunk, f ucking hire already inked) we wouldn’t just rip off the band-aid at this point? Give an actual good reason. And don’t say money, because if it’s about a few million and we’re morning, then it’s time to quit the SEC and not be in a power 5 conference. The money is and has always been there.
