Mine is Jim Edmonds. Dude was the best CF I've ever seen. Swung a big bat too.

Brett Eibner would be my favorite Razorback.

Most electric defensive player of all time. At least that's the way I remember his playing days.

Yep, he was incredible. I had a chance to eat at his restaurant once. All his gold gloves were on display.

Hands down Ozzie Smith. I have a ton of his memorabilia. We have the same birthday too.

Probably my second favorite player.

He was one of the first guys ever recorded on the radar gun.

According to the experts, his fastest pitches would have been 108mph.

I think his fastest on record back then was 103, but they recorded it in a slightly different way.

If he were still throwing today his pitches would show 108mph.

The scary thing is his pitches in the 9th were faster than his pitches in the 1st no matter how you clock it.

Edited to add:

If you think I'm a retard about 108mph, watch the documentary call "Fastball" on Amazon prime.

They explain this in detail.

Just to give another layer to this thread, who is your favorite player you remember, and who is your favorite player you wish you were old enough to see?

As far as players I'm too young for I would go with

Roberto Clemente

Ty Cobb, would love to see if he was as dirty as the say.

Test Williams

I would have loved to watch Willy Mays in person.

I would also have loved watching Bob Gibson on the mound.

It would also have been pretty awesome watching some of the Yankee greats in person.

That's easy

Ozzie Smith

My son plays shortstop for his high school and one day he told me Derek Jeter was the best shortstop.

Dont worry...I have educated him about the Wizard since then.

Jim Edmonds here too. I was just thinking about it the other day. Ken Griffey Jr. would probably be 2nd.
