Anyone tired of this bs mediocre mentality? It’s frankly embarrassing to make it to Omaha this many times, profess to be the “Omahogs”, and never close the deal. We have a serious cultural problem amongst our coaches, fanbase, AD, etc. of establishing an arbitrary level of achievement that is satisfactory and once it’s reached, we simply do not care. This is why I am convinced we will NEVER win a title in any major sport. Go ahead and downvote or give me a “son you don’t know anything”. The numbers, anomalies, and history don’t lie. We’re either cursed or we aren’t doing it right collectively.

We overachieved this year and were lucky to even get out of the regional we were in. I'm very happy with the results. Last year was kinda embarrassing but we were a paper tiger hiding behind Kopps.

We only "overachieved" because DVH shite the bed the last month and a half of the season.
At one time Arkansas was highly ranked this season. The finished where the majority thought they should at that time.
Proof remains DVH results would get any football coach or basketball coach sent packing before a decade was up let alone two.

We only overachieved because we collapsed in the regular season. You don’t get kudos for returning to where people thought you should be based on talent

Arkansas football couldn’t dream of making the CFP, much less twice in 4 seasons.
No Arkansas basketball coach is getting fired after going Championship game, Elite 8, Sweet 16, and Final Four in consecutive seasons. Good god, you sucked Mike Anderson off and never made a sweet 16. Hell, he couldn’t consistently make the NCAA tournament

West was kinda good this year wouldn't you agree? Knocked out the best bats in the tourney against OkSt. We didn't deserve the high ranking we had early in the season. Played our best ball in the post season. Thats about all you can ask for. Bats weren't the best in 2 of the 3 OM games but their pitchers have been dealing all tourney.

Want to hire Bianco? OM was ready to run him out of town a month ago. MissSt coach? Didn't even make the postseason. I get being frustrated but the dude has us as a consistently elite team. Be mad if you want I guess. I'm not making excuses, I'm straight up happy with him. Sorry you aren't but he isn't going anywhere no matter how much you bitch about it.

Denied. How did we shite ourselves? We lost 2-0 in a game that would've put us in the finals. Ole Miss got their first run after a bad hop. Little things can turn the tide. We didn't get any breaks, but we didn't make any on the offensive side. My only complaint is our plate approach. Too many called third strikes, overswinging and no apparent attempt to just make contact with two strikes. Gorilla ball can get you there but against good pitching staffs you have to put the ball in play and try and force them to get that pitch count up.

Also, Delucia has given up 1 run this post season. He’s on a run. The reason we couldn’t get deep into counts is because he threw a ton of strikes and there were very few easy pitches to hit. He pounded the corners all day. It was a ridiculous outing for him just like Noland had a ridiculous outing for us. And I’d even go as far to say that we made better contact than ole miss did, too. Our hits found gloves and theirs didn’t. There doesn’t always have to be a narrative. Sometimes you just get beat by a good pitcher.
