It improves his prospects for a career after football. He doesn't project to the NFL so going home and playing this year for LSU is actually a good business decision even if he isn't getting paid. We sure as hell weren't doing it. Not sure why anyone would be salty toward him. Gave us good years and is doing what is best for his future.

We can't even get kids more than free food that are playing now. Why would he expect anything when he isn't contributing to the team?

Makes sense, can go back to Louisiana where people will understand him. He can get into media or whatever he wants to do after football. Go out as an assistant high school coach in Louisiana.

Also anyone who has said Coley is a bigger body than Malik hasn’t seen the picture Cade Renfro tweeted out.

you can mark Sanders off your list. He's visiting Texa$$ and OU as well so its like a FA visiting a mid market team who he knows isn't going to pay him.

He was committed to OU before he changed his mind to Bama. He is from Denton which is a bout two hours from Norman. He looked like he had kept a list of schools he had previous interest in and OU is in a good spot.

From what I can gather browsing multiple 247 pages:

Lots of smoke that Sanders is visiting Arkansas right now, and then he's off to OU tomorrow and Texas on Friday.

All one day visits, then he'll decide.

Supposedly, from an OU reporter, it was basically going to be a battle between OU and Arkansas, but then, magically, Texas became a player. Wonder what cau$ed the change?

I think most still think it's OU on this one, but there are also reports of people saying Arkansas has a real shot. Apparently he has an ex HS teammate on OU who is recruiting him hard. It's also an easier drive from Denton to Norman, but it's not like Denton to Fayetteville is that much of a drive, either.

Eveyone thought Arkansas would be some kind of financial powerhouse because of the corporate cash in NWA, yet we are seeing now, of you haven't had a streamlined, under-the-table network of bagmen and boosters for a long time already in place, then you're not going automatically start landing guys now just because your college town has a lot of Fortune 500 money in it.

Most of it not all of these companies in NWA are full of people that are not native to the state and so they don't care a bout anything Arkansas. I don't expect them to but you can bet your arse that states like Alabama, Georgia and Texas had plans in place and in the future a bout NIL. They have and will always cheat even if it is legal now, they still find ways to stay a head of the competition.

Unless something happens like rules becoming stricter on NIL then it will continue to hurt small states that don't have enough deep pockets to compete. The bigger the state, the more people willing to pitch in more money.

Going further back, I particularly liked when we were the dark horse to land Adrian Peterson
