It'll probably happen eventually to some extent, but it wouldn't surprise me if it took another 5 win season to kick the wallets into gear.

he'd have to ride the bench nearly his entire time here.
Short of an injury he was never going to start here. Coley has shown a ton of progress and probably would have taken the backup role by next season. He was impressive during bowl prep running the scout team

I just read that Hornsby is leaving as well. This seems like bullshite.
I don't know if it's true enough but Hornsby would be very typical transfer case
Very high ceiling, but not polished enough to see significant playing time for probably another 2 years.
I could see maybe a G5 transfer working out for him. Or maybe a P5 with a specific offensive philosophy and depleted QB room

Walmart is out, they don't care for sports unless it involves bikes.
The state of Arkansas couldn't do NIL until a few days ago.

Arkansas has very few compared to bigger states like Texas, Florida and Georgia.

Recap of Catalon’s IG live.
Reddit
quote:
Jalen Catalon went live on IG and was answering questions. Here's the highlights.
Says Slusher is not leaving.
Hudson Clark not leaving
Had Joe Foucha on for a second and when a commenter messaged about Coach Carter. Jalen said "Nah, Coach Straight" but wouldnt elaborate on why they were leaving just said it was a "business decision".
Said Carter just coaches them hard and that theyre grown men so he should, thats his "boy for life".
Said he wouldnt have come back if Carter was a bad coach.
Says KJ is staying with a what kinda question is that smirk.

Hornsby would do great in coastal Carolina’s offense

This is the only good thing about social media, to stop the burn it all down breakdowns people have, because of social media in the first place.

Wonder when we get to hear Pittman give his opinion on these guys transferring

The bittersweet part of it is BK buying all these NOLA kids outside of the DT from Mizzou most will never crack the 2 deep at LSU and kill their careers.

Can y'all get Jerry Jones, Tyson chicken and Walmart together for some NIL?
You would think.
I don’t think Jerry can because of being part of the NFL.
Tyson giving them NIL and filming them grilling or other cooking segments for “healthy” meals? I’d rather watch that then the bullshite commercials they show. Put that on their YouTube and make the money back.
Walmart, give them money, film them being Santa or buying back to schools supplies for under privileged kids? That would be better than any woke bullshite they are currently pushing.

Some kind of deal with elite players to get their merchandise on the shelves would be huge

I would hope/think that someone has some ties and could sway Walmart to do something. I didn't realize NIL just started in Arkansas.

That hog/local team section in the front of most stores, you can’t throw some of the player merchandise there? Then Walmart can say they support small local businesses?

Normally I don't think Hornsby leaving would be that big of a deal but now we're down to just two scholarship QBs in spring ball which might force them to use one of our transfer spots on a backup QB leaving us with just 4 left for defense.
Unless we can convince JSJ to come back and be the 3rd string QB. Not like we'd win much if we got down that far in the depth chart regardless.

Is there an official ncaa link to players currently in the portal?
Interested to watch it for Hornsby’s name

Some states were already doing NIL first. Arkansas was later on but wasn't the only state. NIL favors the larger states as they have more fortune 500 companies.
