If you keep buying season tickets, especially premium. You’re helping Yuracek and all incompetent staff keep a job.
Posted on 10/11/26 at 8:27 pm to JeffLebowski
The question is how much not buying tickets to football actually puts yuracheks job at risk
Fans aren’t gonna stop buying tickets to basketball, baseball, & other sports we’re good in.

Ticket revenue from football pays the shortfall for all the sports we are good in besides mens basketball which supports itself. Every other sport is not self sustainable.
A massive drop off in season ticket sales in football would cause concern especially if the academic side had to come up with the short fall.
The other sports is what Hunter points to while showing football is profitable so there is no problem. Caliperi* is the only HC of the other sports he brags about success that either wasn't hired by Jeff Long or wasn't already on the staff from a HC hired by Jeff Long with DVH being the exception.
*Hunter can believe he hired him if he wants.
Hunter has been trying to land a new job for years now, no one wants him, including the majority of people in Arkansas.
Allegedly the SEC has a problem with him being fired this early in the season because he is the head of the playoffs committee and this would be the second head in a row that was fired during a season and would be the second time Arkansas did this.
If this is true what does Arkansas get out of keeping him? Road games to UGA , Bama, and Ole Miss next year?

At this point, the only way the SEC could punish us more would be to exclude us friom the super conference that will eventually be formed.
Of course, we would likely be left out anyway no matter what we do because football is such a joke and the decision makers don't care as long as it turns a profit. Why would you want a school in the new conference whose leadership is not committed in football?

Why would a super conference allow a 2 win program in?

if the c-suite folks stop buying c-suites and make it known, it helps.
BUT they wont bc they do not generally care either.

This is true. I love seeing all of my friends posting instashit of themselves at our games acting like badasses because they’re attending Razorback football tailgate - newsflash, makes anyone doing that look like a moron enjoys watching us fail to the point that I bet some would smash their dicks with a hammer if our lame arse MC who says the same pre-programmed crap as all of the others(same company) do at loser programs who hire 3rd parties for “gameday experience”. It all sucks and needs to be swept off the table like spilled salt.

It does, and people will think we are just mad at Silverfield and not Yuracheck. The only thing that changed anything was the emails to all the BOT members. And that didn’t do much. So the you have to come for their jobs now.

It's the wives pushing game attendance, I promise. If it weren't for mine I would not have attended in 3 years. One this year, none last, one the year before.
I used to rarely miss SEC home games.

Can’t tell if tongue in cheek or truth. But if truth, I guess I’m lucky - my wife doesn’t like losers(except for the one she married, lol). And she definitely has hated watching me go from throwing things to just being bummed out and for the first year ever in my life, not watching college football at all - so, I’ll give Yuracek props - he made someone who’s been going to games since they were in diapers and is now middle-aged do something he never thought he’d do, quit.
Plus side, it’s bow season and I’ve got lots of fun Saturday projects and lots of extra time and money to not scream at the TV. Still love basketball, DVH is a great guy but with his recent resigning instead of gracious retirement, I’m pretty much there with baseball too(and no, he will never win it all, doesn’t have the right ethos and plays to not lose).

I think DVH may have missed his shot at the big game also, hope I'm wrong, but still think he's earned the right to go out on his own terms as long as he's keeping us amongst the top teams. Especially right now, do we really want the PTB that's there right now selecting his replacement? I'm hoping that when he does decide to leave, it coincides with Tony V's return to college ball and we have people in place with enough sense to hire him. He'll, maybe DVH is waiting for a change of leadership before he pulls the trigger because he doesn't trust who he'd be replaced with, currently.

Absolutely agree!
I hope he's tapped the next coach and HY has nothing to do with any part of it. It would be a travesty if he does.
Suite, hotel and airline tickets already booked for February in Arlington

Vitello should be the only choice as DVH's successor when that time comes. I too hope everything lines up with DVH retiring and Vitello saying to hell with MLB.

I wonder if Tony regrets choosing San Fran as his MLB shot. They have 0 pitching and Devers is about all the power they have.

I agree he's the #1 choice, but I don't see how you can say Wes Johnson hasn't made a strong case. Year three and he takes Georgia to the CWS - for the seventh time in their history and the first time since 2008. Plus, he's the coveted "Arkansas Boy."

1a and 1b, in my opinion. Would not be disappointed in either one of them as DVH's successor.

Sad isn’t it. I’d go watch Greater and try to get inspired but then I’d cry for multiple reasons. Just sad that the higher up, the less fricks are given and football is the bread and butter of a successful AD in terms of money, fan engagement, multi-sport(yeah, doesn’t look good bringing in 5* bball guys into an empty stadium). Thank God, Cal invites them to practice when he can and makes sure to include former Hogs of influence and recognition.

Was Hunter even at the game Saturday? His presence was missed during the honoring that takes place during game.
He still hasn't tweeted since the Utah debacle, even after the volleyball team beat the defending national champions.
