Things I don't miss from the past 8 yrs: No dumbass slogans and gimmicks

No more "Woo Pig" at the end of every sentence.
No more "throwing the A"
No more "1-0"
No more "mic drop"
No more "Uncommon"
No more "Hammer Down"
No more "Left lane"
No more "club dub"
.... No more dumbasses at head coach who think the program is one big marketing gimmick.
This team may not win a damn game, but at least the guy in charge is pretty university respected.

We didn't come to paint was the most embarrassing of them all. That shite was so fricking lame. I love the hell out of Sam Pittman, but this Yes Siiiiiiirrrrrr shite might be one of the worst gimmicks of all time.

That wasn't a slogan. Someone from the Arkansas media asked him a stupid question a bout the forth down play against LSU. So Petrino responded with a stupid answer.

Eh, even Alabama has the #BuiltbyBama thing which I think is cheesy. Every program has some sort of slogan or hashtag that they overuse. It's a lot easier to deal with when you're winning though.

The University made it a slogan and slapped it on t-shirts. Petrino was embarrassed about it because it was supposed to be a throw away comment. Most people wouldn't have had a problem with left lane hammer down if our offense ever made it downfield. I hope Sam just comes out one day and says "frick'em" and our marketing team latches on to that

The slogan stuff started with Nutt. Like Nuttin' but fun at his football camps.

Left lane, hammer down sounds pretty good when you have a notably fierce uptempo offense and you go out and hit #1 Alabama in the mouth with it. When you go out, get on your hands and knees, and present your arse to San Jose State, it doesn't pack quite the same punch.
I think the key here is you come up with the slogan after you stun the world. That way when you go 2–10, you haven't already written the jokes for everyone.
