But it would ruin his career. Waiting a year would be his career death. Attendance would be trash next year.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts/concerns. HY had LK locked down, BOT wouldn't sign off/ wanted others interviewed. LK says fine I'll look around as well. Sexton starts playing games for more leverage. Here we are.
HY probably says f-it, hire whoever you want but I'm out. He dealt with the same crap at Houston.

I just don't think the BOT is as stupid and controlling as all those "insiders" are making this out to be.
HY will not back down. He hasn't shown me he will do anything to appease or hitch his wagon to any semblance of a good ol boy network.
He's also not going to burn the university to the ground with a huge revolt and public slap in the face because he didn't get his way like a little baby. That's career suicide.

They are. They fired an AD and hired a coach before hiring the new AD and letting him get his own guy. Do not underestimate the stupidity of the Arkansas PTB.
