I'll admit here that we were lucky to win, but they are setting themselves up to be sailed on on tRant.

More like they were lucky that game even came down to the last few seconds. If we make even a fraction more of our free throws that game isn't even close. We missed 12. TWELVE!

Yeah, we didn't shoot the ball as well yesterday for being a home game. I'm glad we won and I hope they tear a chunk out of State Tuesday night.

They have the most unrealistic expectations for their bball program.

They are pretty upset on the rant but if I was a Tenner fan, I would be upset too.

I will admit the life in the basketball program has sparked a little spunk in me that I haven't had on tRant in a few years.

Well it was shaping up to be that sort of finish well before the game took place. The Vols have been talking the game up for a couple of weeks. This was going to be their big trolling moment for the academic year.

Football was bad, no one cares enough about Women's Basketball or Softball, so it is pretty much down to basketball and we were their first conference opponent.

If they had won you wouldn't be able to swing a dead cat without hitting a Vol bragging about the win or rubbing it in. It would have made our trolling after the win look like a polite invitation to afternoon tea.

Besides some of the meltdowns have been wonderful to watch.

And football. And coaching hires in general.

They were the recipients of the Stoernover and the NC that followed. They could shite the bed against us every game for the rest of history and it wouldn't amount to the gravity of good fortune for that game.

This game wasn't luck,it was by design.

This team is the first team I've seen in a while that has the depth and talent to wear an opponent down in the second half.

I remember when we would be down by twenty at half and no worries because the opponent would be grabbing their shorts and gasping for air toward the end of the game.

fatigue is an enemy, makes the legs weak, the decisions questionable.

We beat their butts, they didn't give it to us.

This was a win,not a gift.

Good job Hogs...

I also like to see players taking a charge, nolan's teams made a living off of that.

And consistent inside play from multiple players. We've had good inside players and good jump shooters, but this year we have those and players that can make a quick move to the basket for an easy layup.

The new rules have increased the difficulty in drawing charges, it's still possible but 50/50 calls go the way of being blocks today compared to charges back then.

Honestly, don't know what they're complaining about with Rick Barnes. He's a pretty solid coach and considering what he had to inherit, I'm impressed with what he's done there.

Yeah, Barnes has them playing great. They're going to win a lot of games and are definitely a tournament team. They need to be happy.
