Yeah, that portion of the fanbase needs a reality check. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a dad going to watch his son (Who is actually a legitimate QB recruit for us) play ball.

These are the same people that would freak out if his son with to another school.

I mean, I'm not making excuses for him. That loss was on him and it sucked, but big salary or not, coaching has just about turned in to a 24/7/365 job. That's crazy.

I'm good with it.

He's on a private jet, 40 minutes there, then a 3-hour ball game, then 40 minutes home. All said an done, he's probably missing about 5 hours of work....... But.... It's also the night before the game, where walkthroiughs and last minute installs take place, at least in the nfl.

Plus, fans are kind of like, "you live here and we pay you millions to suck so far, so why aren't we good enough to move your family here."

Not my opinion, but I see where fans are coming from. I really don't believe it's a big deal, but the optics just aren't good... Especially in year one, where you've already lost a terrible game.

No joke. Too many fans just looking for a reason to be pissed at something. Based on his offer sheet so far they should be pumped our HC went to watch a QB play and then flew him on a private jet to watch our game. If it wasn't his kid everyone would talk about how awesome that was.

And news flash, most Friday nights the coaches are spending time with the team. They are out scouting either locally or in areas we are playing. CO might have been different because we don't recruit that area. Y'all think when we play in Dallas the coaches are going to spend Friday night with our team roasting marshmallows and singing songs around a campfire?? i guarantee almost everyone we be at a local high school game,

Probably because his son’s a junior in high school and was just named the starting QB at one of the best schools in Texas. It’s doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why the kid didn’t move here but of course our fans will get offended by something so pointless.
