I don't take firing coaches lightly, like most of the posters here. They don't know anything about major college athletics, they think firing a head coach is like firing a dishwasher at Applebee's.

We know.

But you take losing and being a disgrace to a once proud fan base extraordinarily lightly.

There are pictures all over the web of tickets scattered all over the tailgate/hill. We've gone past rock bottom.

We're on a two game win streak.

Bottom line, if we miss a bowl Bielema will get fired. Not sure why so many fans are getting worked up. The gnashing of teeth has gotten a little out of hand.

Doubt it.

If we somehow beat Mizzou, we're 5-7 and we go bowling.

Apathy will be at all time lows this year. Hard to imagine after this year.

Right. If we make a bowl he stays, even at 5-7.

He should have left the stadium Saturday night unemployed. Even though we won that game was a downright disgrace.

That would be more shameful than beating Coastal by 1.

No way we go bowling at 5-7 with our APR score.

Eh, people will get over it. State did it last year and they're in the top 25 right now. No one is talking about them going to a bowl at 5-7 last year. Who cares?

Sorry, I didn't mean going to the bowl would be shameful. Simply keeping Bert because he went to a bowl in year 5 with 5 wins would be shameful.

I thought it was the best in the SEC etc, doing things the right way.

Or is it because Burt has had as much attrition as anyone?

Well that’s just disappointing if true. It’s going to be a long, miserable offseason around here and in Arkansas if that prediction comes true.

I'll make a ban bet with anyone that wants to take it right now saying he will not be our coach next year.

ETA: Except Stonehog. I hear that loser doesn't honor his bets.

If you're so sure that he's going to be fired then why do you keep whining so much?

I'll bet you a throat punch in the Sonic Parking lot after the spring game next year.

Deal?

Ask yourselves this: why would JL need 'advice' on answering a question regarding CBBs future if he wasn't at least considering the firing? He wouldn't.

If y'all think it's ugly around here just imagine behind the scenes, and it'll only get uglier when we inevitably add more losses in the coming weeks. I'd put about 75% on him being fired at this time, up to 99% if we don't win 2 of the next 3.

I have no idea how anyone can be so sure he'll be retained, it's perplexing.

meh...there are others that "know" people that say he is gone. There is no justification for keeping him after this year...I'm not a gambler of football games, but I figure we will lose the next 3 and it will be a moot point

Then why the constant hand wringing? Is it because fans think they're smarter than Jeff Long and they're afraid he'll keep Bert?

He'd probably get another year but he's going to resign at the end of the season. He'll negotiate a way out, he wants out now too. He knows its a complete mess.
