So, has anyone heard any rumblings behind the scene?

Just wondering what folks are hearing now. I figured it would be quite for a few weeks but after yesterday I wonder if it sped up a bit.

Another year. Our lines should be better next year. Tough test yesterday for the defense. Coastal had 4 freshman and sophomore on their offensive line

I believe the UA board meets soon to talk about Jeffrey's future. Although personell matters are behind the scenes, those board meetings are public gatherings and anyone can attend.

Anyone who finds out the date time and place can go to the meeting and they might get something out of it.

The board must announce the results of their personell matter discussions, just the details are confidential. It would be at that meeting if Jeff Long gets and extension or not. Any students or residents living in the area could easily go to the meeting

JL is up for a review, Varady has been working on contract extension stuff as well. Yes, he is the head of the RF now, but still does some attorney stuff also.

Nothing has changed from the time that everyone was hearing dude was gone THREE WEEKS AGO til now except we beat a pathetic Ole Miss team on the verge of severe sanctions. Vacated wins, scholarship reductions, post season bans, if not something even worse.

Winning one game shifted the narrative to the possibility of keeping this clown another year. LMAO!!

Anyways, that's all irrelevant now because it is painfully clear this guy isn't winning another game. He isn't good enough.

He will be fired at season's end and it is inevitable. It is a business decision, you guys. This is a foregone conclusion.

The meetings are in Little Rock at Pulaski Tech.

The Thursday morning executive session looks to be the Jeff Long talk. Anyone going to be around there around then? I would assume a couple local football writers will also be in attendance.

Also, since it's a public meeting (paid for by you the Arkansas taxpayers) you can eat for free and record the meeting.

After the session, the board will have to pass a motion to either extend Long or not (which won't happen), but either way, they will have to openly announce their conclusion of the meeting probably in some detail and pass or fail the motion.

people i know are saying we keep him for another year. injuries and crazy market are gonna end up saving him unless a whole lot of schools back off firing their coach.

you'll start hearing spin come out after lsu game. he's either a great coach who won despite injuries or lost because of them.

take it fwiw. my guy is usually pretty reliable.

That shite won't wash.
You can't spin something the people already reject, man. Injuries have nothing to do with this and the people know it.

Some players may think they can spin things in that direction, but trust me, it won't make a bit of difference.

i mean wer did lose a 5th year senior WR, one of the best corners in the country, the sec's 2nd leading rusher from last year and the QB with the best QBR from last year, oh and our all everything center

to say injuries don't have shite to do wtih it isn't accurate.

A 5th year senior WR who's main contributions came way of the jet sweep play, not actually running out there and catching passes. Our number two guy behind him still isn't making headlines despite being the #2 contributor returning from last season.

Raleigh Williams was a loss, but dumb shite Bret himself negated that impact by again saying that we would be fine despite losing him because RB is the one position we are "strong" at.

A QB that everyone wants replaced anyways.

And a center that, while good, hasn't changed the outcome of anything apparently because we have won our last two games without. And all a sudden our o-linemen otherwise are starting to make player of the week lists.
