So, he accepts the inability of the Oline and the running game being what he want's it to be... He also fully stated that they stopped the passing game to see what would and wouldn't work on purpose. He and Enos decided to do that...

I liked his demeanor, and his reasoning.

For those comparing him to Nutt... Don't, lol...

He's a career O-line coach. He's in year 4. Our O-line is trash. Why is he here?

I'm already tired of his act. I thought a dominant offensive line would be a given with him being such a recruiting phenom and lineman whisperer. Woo pig.

He's a career Oline coach who is now HC...

recruiting is better than it has been in like... Forever maybe? Just not oline which surprised me. I get it man. I get it, but I love his candor and answers today.

It also seems that Biddy crawls into a shell with the 1st question/statement today a bit. Funny

He also said it’s not all on the OL and that the RBs didn’t always go where they were supposed to on plays. Think he was referring to Dubinion.

Hopefully it’s just a matter of getting used to the change in offensive system.

Y'all tell me if I'm wrong but it looked like the o-line struggled more with figuring out assignments than just being able to block one on one.

For a line that hasn't played together much, it's understandable. It's not like Kent St was just speed rushing and our tackles were getting beat around the edge (that I remember much of at least). They were running stunts/showing blitz but backing off, that's what generated a lot of the problems for us.

Guess I'm trying to say I think we have an experience problem, not a talent problem necessarily. Which means we could improve a lot still

They were rushing 3 maybe 4 and getting to the QB. That’s not good.

Guess we will just kindly ask SEC foes to not do this? Is that our strategy

These kids have seen this stuff since freshman year high school in many instances. They're basically professional football players

The team looking like shite and then Pittman saying “I meant to do that” is exactly something Nutt would do.

I went to a game and Houston literally called the same play 4 times a row… it was the year after Gus, 4 runs because he went for it on 4th and all 4 were McFadden up the middle.

Then he said I called that play to test our men’s will or something afterwards.

Sorry guys…I asked for a seat in the realistic expectations of our program section.

Coach is making adjustments for the better in our staff. Coaching is continuous

Unironically yes but I’ll settle for top 20 in both

It's pretty much all of them. I remember multiple posters mentioning RBs not taking cuts that were there, myself included. The line has issues but that was also a valid point by Pittman. Backs weren't always seeing the lanes and trying to bounce stuff too far outside.

Isn't that on the HC?
Were we really that unprepared for Kent St.

Not unless he's got an xbox 360 controller plugged in on the sideline somewhere.

I can get laying it all at the feet of the HC if we were in like week 6 and having the same repetitive problems, but I'm not gonna start screaming at Pittman if 10 people do their job on a play and one dude fricks it up right now.

Nothing about what the coaches or players are saying right now indicates we're looking at the final product. For the first time since he's gotten here Pittman can ease into a season. Let the man work. We've been in no danger of losing any games this year. Hell, we don't even know what our offense actually is yet. We've seen very very little.

Using the Kent State game to get more looks at kinks in the running game was the publicly stated plan the entire time, though. Started in the Western Carolina post-game presser and continued through the whole week leading up to the game. It wasn't just after the fact.
