Said it all week.... great hire... but people won't like it.

More people like it than you think, or what was initially thought, from what I am seeing.

And more will open up to it pretty quickly.

I said something about this before, but when Chad Morris was still at Clemson and had them rolling on offense there were several people clamoring for him to get the job here. I remember him being the hottest name out there as far as coordinators go. Now that it is official I am getting a little more excited about him. I think he will get us back to being nationally respected again.

Really hoping we don't see protests tomorrow a la those idiots at Tennessee.

He wasn't my first choice, but I'm warming to the hire. The DC hire is critical. I'm too jaded to really have any hope that Venables would come.

I'm fine with the Morris hire. I wanted Norvell but I guess he has some skeletons in his closet.

I don't think it was that.

Morris is a bigger, more respected name with a bigger network. Not only in Texas but recruiting in the South East.

It looks like they vetted both guys pretty hard and Morris came out on top.
