Just sayin' and to take the heat off all the worthless Gus Bus talk.

His people have reached out and Sexton is involved which likely means bidding war with him and Norvell if interest is mutual.

Other reports have said he really wants to coach in the SEC, so it lines up with that I guess

He would be an excellent choice. He's got experience building up a decimated program and was the head coach of Toledo when they beat us. They were ranked for a while that year and finished 10-2.

Matt was .700 at Toledo.

He's .511 at Iowa State 24-23 currently.

The four years before Matt Campbell at Iowa State they were 14-33.

I like him but don't think it would excite the casual fans much. His overall record at ISU isn't great and he went into triple OT with Northern Iowa this year.

But he brought them from 3 wins to 8 wins in back to back seasons. 5-4 this year but look how close his losses are: 1 to Iowa, 2 @ Baylor, 7 to Oklahoma State and 1 @ Oklahoma.

I know after Bielema we all don't care about close losses but they could easily be 8-1 right now.

He did beat oklahoma last year or the year before with a 3rd string qb

Can anyone here imagine getting that done here at arkansas?? I actually think the dude is a damn good coach, at a historically bad place

I like matt Campbell a lot. winning half your games at Iowa state is pretty solid especially considering they play second fiddle to Iowa in a low talent area. does Campbell have SeC recruiting footprint ties?

If we could get Campbell I would be ecstatic. One of only 2 coaches I would put above leave for this job. The other being Matt rhule

Not himself, he has spent all his coaching and playing days in Pittsburgh, Ohio and Iowa.

Campbell is a great, great coach.

Maybe biggest determining factor to elite teams is offensive and defensive efficiency.

Since the playoff began, the national champ has been top 5 in both categories.

Matt Cmapbell through week 11 has Iowa State in the top 25 of each category, 11th in offensive scoring efficiency and 23rd in defensive scoring efficiency.

For reference, Arkansas is ranked 98th and 125th, respectively.

FAU, a G5 school and coached by Kiffin is 55th and 80th.

Alabama is 2nd in both. Ohio State is top 5 in each.

Campbell has also won 2 more games than he should have this year when accounting for talent.

Chad has lost 4 games he should not have.

Campbell was my choice before we pissed the bed by hiring Aggie Chaggie

That said, we missed our chance. His buyout is crazy high and I dont think we can afford him now

#1 on my list. Dude can coach football. That Arkansas team he beat with Toledo was actually a good team of ours.

Bingo. There is no chance this is legit but he’ll get paid off it.
