Woopig was the better board because the collective IQ and level of jadedness of its posters was similar to this board.
Granted, that's an extremely low bar when Hogville is your competition considering it's a collection of mouth-breathing Facebook uncles who think Randy Rainwater is edgy.

I liked woopig because they could say what wanted to say without being banned. Hogville felt cooperate and the opinions was that of a cult.
From what I understand Hogville split off from woopig in 2003 and Lanny was one of the administrators. Who was said to be a Texas fan.
Over the years Hogville began picking up more and more traffic when they began affliating themselves with the media that drove up ad revenue. Woopig did not and membership growth, traffic was very slow or stagnant.
Now with woopig gone, Hogville is the only hog message board that is thriving. The rest are inactive and dying out.
But fortunately Tigerdroppings and the SEC Rant is much better. They are are also much larger in membership and traffic than Hogville. Simply because they have other posters from all of the SEC schools.

What Hog boards are left? Here, Hogville, and what else?
Tigerdroppings is the best board I've found. You have your own team's section, the SEC section, and other forums that covers everything from movie/TV recommendations to what kind of chainsaw do I need to buy (Stihl)?

My only complaint with this site is that, when you click on a thread with a new reply, it gets all of the “new reply” notifications. Otherwise it’s the best board for sec stuff.

Haven’t been there in years but I remember everyone on that board was a huge hater. Everyone was always super negative and cynical. They would dox people just for having a take they didn’t like and try to get them fired.

I am not glad to see a Hog fan site go tits up... well Hogville maybe. But, everything that site offered we have here in spades.

I hate seeing it go down. I started posting on RickB’s board, rabidhogfans.
Met a lot of good people from there and played in a few of the webhogs golf tournaments.

It is pretty sad that hog fans no longer have a decent site they can go to besides the rant.

From what I can tell, 247 has sucked away many of the former H'ville posters with $1 promo deals and blasting Drive Time every day.
